Chapter 8 - Chapter Eight: The Purple Gold Treasure Chest

"Brothers of the Wolf Head Mercenary Group, does anyone need medical treatment?"

The doctors from Wan Yao Zhai kindly sent someone over to say something.

After thanking him, Muli asked the physician from Wan Yao Zhai to treat the injured mercenaries in the group.

Thank you all.

"No need to thank us. Little Fairy Doctor saw that you were nearby, so she sent us to help."

"Please thank that girl for me."

Muli said with a smile.

The current Little Fairy Doctor is so kind; the contrast with the future Heavenly Poison Woman is off the charts.

"No need, Little Fairy Doctor said she wanted to thank you for not bothering her these past few days."

Seeing Mu Li's warm smile, a female doctor was infected and became bolder in her speech.

"Heh, then when you get back, tell her that she can rest assured, I won't have any feelings for her."

"That's really hurtful. Doesn't Young Commander Mu know that it's very impolite to say a woman has no charm?"

Upon hearing the female doctor's words, Mu Li smiled faintly and said, "Your little fairy doctor is really hard to please. She gets annoyed when I hear too many nice things, but she can't stand hearing bad things."

"It's not a good habit for Young Commander Mu to talk badly about people behind their backs."

Not far away, Little Fairy Doctor was carrying a medicine box and walking towards them.

"I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the members of Wan Yao Zhai on behalf of the injured Wolf Head Mercenary, since you have come all this way."

Mu Li did not respond to Little Fairy Doctor's words. Instead, he stood up solemnly and bowed, making the doctors of Wan Yao Zhai quite embarrassed.

"Young Commander Mu, you're too kind. Saving lives is our duty as doctors."

Hearing Mu Li's serious words, Little Fairy Doctor could no longer continue to mock him.

He simply joked, "Muli, you've become much more polite since I last saw you."

"If it weren't for your forced entry into the warehouse yesterday, I would have really thought you'd changed."

Hearing Xiao Yixian's audacious words, Mu Li's confidant looked embarrassed and nervous, fearing that Mu Li would kill Xiao Yixian with a single blow.

Having experienced certain things, they knew that Muli's behavior had recently become increasingly ruthless and completely unreasonable.

The fact that Mu Li met Xiao Yixian twice but didn't try to get close to her gradually shows that he's no longer as interested in her as before.

But Mu Li showed no displeasure at this moment. Instead, he smiled apologetically and said, "I was rude yesterday. I will definitely go to apologize to Master Yao in person another day."

"No need for that, my dad isn't that stingy."

Little Fairy Doctor responded while treating the mercenary's injuries.

"The fault lies with me, and I should apologize; it has nothing to do with Master Yao's attitude."

"Hehe, Muli, you seem to have really changed."

Little Fairy Doctor chuckled.

Previously, whenever Mu Li met Xiao Yi Xian, he would either talk about love or steer the conversation in that direction.

Today, however, he took the initiative to reflect on his mistakes, as if he especially wanted to gain forgiveness from himself and his father.

Muli wore a sincere and earnest smile.

Seeing Mu Li's state, the confidant standing nearby sighed inwardly that the young commander still loved Little Fairy Doctor.

This docile and tolerant demeanor is a stark contrast to her previous ruthlessness and coldness.

After treating the injured, Little Fairy Doctor left with the people from Wan Yao Zhai.

Mu Li watched Little Fairy Doctor's retreating figure and breathed a sigh of relief.

I must stay away from this woman from now on; I should avoid seeing her if possible.

By not meeting in person, there will be no mistakes, and you will not be harmed by the poison.

If I were to live with this woman in the future, constantly living in fear, who could stand it?

"We'll leave first thing tomorrow morning."

The mercenaries around him didn't understand Muli's nonsensical words either, assuming it was because time was of the essence, so they responded and went about their business.

The next morning

Muli led the Wolf Head group to the location of the treasure chest.

"Young Commander, if we continue forward, we will be approaching the central region of the Monster Mountain Range."

"I know."

"Muli said in a deep voice."

Danger is real, but we must get the treasure chest. Even if it means sacrificing some people, we must get there!

Seeing Mu Li's resolute expression, the others could no longer persuade him and could only pay closer attention to their surroundings.

"roar!"

Suddenly, a deep roar of a beast rang out from the dense jungle.
