Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Offerings that transcend dimensions

As a rational gamer, Vivian hoped Sarah could truly solidify the territory she had worked so hard to build.

She had played many building and development games. In the early stages of the game, instead of focusing on farming, she jumped straight into large-scale projects, which could easily lead to game failure due to a lack of resources.

However, when she saw herself working as both a contractor and a designer, diligently directing the second-generation insects that knew nothing and only knew how to obey orders, she suddenly found it quite interesting.

"What kind of temple will she build?"

At first, Nursery Rhyme had thought it would be a wonder similar to Stonehenge.

Sarah, the Zerg queen, wasn't known for her strength, but most of the second-generation Zerg she produced were "strongmen" who could lift stones dozens of times their own weight.

With their division of labor and cooperation, building a miniature version of Stonehenge wouldn't be a problem at all.

But as she watched, Sarah realized she had underestimated her.

Forty-six long, thick stone pillars stood on a flat, elevated platform by the riverbank, forming the framework of a temple that stretched for a hundred li.

After hauling all the stones to the elevated platform, Sarah spent another half a month completing the temple's roof.

By then, the temple was beginning to take shape, although the interior was somewhat empty, but Sarah wasn't satisfied with that.

She spent a month carving various designs into the temple, smoothing out the originally irregular walls and making the asymmetrical temple symmetrical. She even carved patterns on the round stone pillars, the same patterns as those on the wings.

Obsessive-compulsive disorder?

The nursery rhyme wasn't just random guesswork.

She noticed that Sarah would turn to the left and right sides of the temple after each carving to inspect it, only continuing when she was sure it was good.

This kind of work was tedious, but Sarah didn't find it boring; various emoticons would occasionally float above her head.

[(o?▽?)o][(v^_^)v][('^ω^`)]

Her joy was palpable.

On the day the temple was completed, Sarah personally brought a piece of white jade into the temple and placed it on a raised platform deep within.

She had once tried to carve the stone into a statue of a god, but ultimately gave up.

What kind of god was he?

Sarah couldn't imagine what a god looked like.

Perhaps God is as warm as the sun.

Perhaps God is as cold and calm as the moon.

Perhaps that shouldn't have been the definition of God in the first place.

God is indeed God!

Sarah prostrated herself before the white jade, as she always did, expressing her respect and fear, even though she was now the king of a tribe of thousands!

She would always remember that day.

In the barren land, in the dying chaos, warmth suddenly enveloped her.

At that time, she was still ignorant, naive, and fragile, and she was just trying her best to open her eyes.

Then, she saw a brilliance she had never seen before.

It was a miracle that transcended time, space, ignorance and wisdom, and everything else!

Because he was a god, he could do this, right?

In a miracle, he awakened and became extraordinary.

Because of his extraordinary qualities, he experienced solitude for the first time.

Is this world, so vast, truly unique, and where does it ultimately lead?

The meaning of life didn't bother Sarah; she was so simple, so innocent, and so content with what she had.

[Sarah was born to serve God!]

As long as you can serve God, you won't feel lonely.

Exhausted, Sarah smiled and fell asleep peacefully in front of the white jade.

Looking at the lines of heartfelt messages floating from the glass head, Vivian suddenly understood why she had been so determined to create miracles in the early stages of development.

My complacency and desire for easy money still bothered me.

And one more thing.

"It seems to be too attached to me."

Vivian suddenly had a strange feeling that she wasn't playing a civilization-building game, but rather raising a daughter, only this daughter looked a little strange.

Well, not bad-looking. After several evolutions, Sarah now had two pairs of beautiful wings that many envied, slender and agile forelegs like glass, and a cute and innocent face.

Just let her be.

Vivian smiled.

Parents don't always expect their children to be incredibly successful.

Besides, who stays the same?

Perhaps Sarah's thoughts would change after a while.

The most important thing about playing games was having fun.

Her happiness came from the fact that her eyes didn't have any problems while playing this game, and she also got another pleasure from watching Li grow up!

Vivian continued to stare at her phone screen.

The Zerg tribe slowly developed under Sarah's guidance.

On the third day, an insect that went exploring brought back a strange stone. It was smooth and emitted a pale blue light.

When the stone was placed in the center of the village, all the idle insects swarmed around it, and even Sarah's eyes were drawn to it.

[Chirp chirp...]

The screen filled with anxiety.

This looks like a gem that can seduce even the most worm-like creature!

[Make way, make way! It's a gift from the gods!]

Sarah swatted away the insects, carefully tucked the gem into her bosom, and used her body to hide its alluring brilliance. Then, without hesitation, she carried the gem to the temple and respectfully placed it in front of the white jade.

It was at this moment that Vivian saw a new option appear on her phone screen.

Offering

"Hmm, sacrifice to the worship of the gods?"

She tapped it lightly, and a new interface appeared.

Ordinary sapphires only hold a small amount of energy.

Should we accept the offering?

[What]

Although I don't see the use of the sapphire, refusing it would probably be a major blow to Sarah's enthusiasm, wouldn't it?

Furthermore, in a normal game, accepting an offering would unlock new features or grant you useful items.

[Yes]

Click to confirm the nursery rhyme.

On the game interface, the sapphire icon gradually disappeared, but the change she expected didn't occur at all.

"What's wrong? Did it crash?"

When she looked down, Vivian froze.

Because she clearly saw a sapphire emitting a soft light on her thigh, which was wrapped in a plain, wrinkled white cloth!

"After accepting it, the offering transformed from a game into reality?!"

Vivian rubbed her eyes hard; this wasn't a hallucination!

She was suddenly relieved that the offering was just a sapphire. If it had been a human sacrifice, or if a "little girl" had been thrown at her, she might have been frightened by the sudden, strange, and bloody sight.

But soon, her attention shifted elsewhere.

"Could I find something or a way to cure my illness in this world?"

After all, she had the entire world. If he could create a civilization with technology far surpassing our own, or even a civilization with advanced magic, then...

Nursery Rhyme held her breath.

He truly looked like a god!
