Chapter Three: The Birth of Draca's Heads

27, Heroluis, 4247, Jeptulis Calender

It was a peaceful day on the continent of Altara, with birds chirping, skies humming the songs of the Heavens, and forests rustling, hiding the unknown.

The world was called Eclypsera, the world of calm light and dancing shadows; the world had only one supercontinent, "Altara."

Altara was home to many empires and kingdoms, but there was the Dragon among Dragons, the Kiel Empire. It was the strongest force in the world of Eclypsera. It was founded by the Unknown Emperor. The legend has it the Unknown Emperor killed his brother and all of his colleagues for power. Even the birth of the Kiel Empire is soaked in blood. Killing his friends and family, the Unknown Emperor trained the children of his friends and family he nourished into becoming the strongest in their era, below himself, of course. Then the children rose to power and established their noble families in Kiel. Even after 1000 years, Kiel remains the undoubted strongest in Eclypsera.

After 1000 years, as the knight who founded the empire approached, the night of the blood-crimson moon fell upon the world. It was said to be the celestial phenomenon that laid the foundation of Kiel in blood.

Far beneath that bloody sky, in a mansion placed in the center of the capital of the Veridian state, "Ferhaven," cries of a newborn were heard as the light of the blood-crimson moon fell upon his head. The duchess Servana Veridian placed her hands upon her newborn in a weak state; the child stopped crying the moment his skin felt the warmth of his mother's heart, but little did he know inside that warmth was an unsettling coldness—his mother, she was dying.

Servan had blue eyes and silver hair with her bright white skin; her hands were as tender as they can be, but still she didn't look weak at all. She looked like a warrior trained from birth. Her white robe blended with her facial features perfectly; she made even the moon look dull.

She started to take shallow breaths, one after another, each breath leading to her death. In her moments, she looked at her baby. "You have beautiful eyes, son. You are the best gift I received from God. It is really...it is really the cruelty of the God that I won't be able to see you grow. I really want to see you call me 'Mama' (tears started to fall from her eyes as she was expressing her grief to her son). I really want to see you call me 'Mama'.... But there is one thing I can do for you, son: name you after my loving husband."

She looked in the corner of the room at the moon who had poisoned her, the duke of the Kiel Empire, head of the Veridian Family, Diable Veridian.

Diable walked from the corner slowly to his wife and son. "Of course, Servana, you can do that. You know that in this world I love you the most... It's just that the Veridian family, no, the Empire, needs a new ruler, and I will do everything to make the Veridian family the ruling family of Kiel. You are the beacon that will light the way for the Veridian family in the dark. My love, please understand."

He looked at Servana's eyes. Sinking deep inside of them, Servana then broke the silence and said.

"I know Diable who and what you are, but still I can't hate you...because I love you. Take care of Valen."

As Servana finished her words, Diable coated his hands in energy and placed his hand on the heart of Servana.

Servana Looked at Diable as she took her last breath and said, "I love you, Diable."

As she finished her last words, her heart stopped.

Valen's father then looked at Valen and spoke in a deep tone: "You were born with too much power, son. Your mother couldn't handle your birth; you took your mother's life."

Then he walked out of the room.

But far away from politics or the struggle for power in a simple embrace of a commoner

Home in the outskirts of the village Valamire, a baby was born; his smile shined the skies brighter than the moon. Anyone who saw the baby saw light, hope, and happiness. His family picked him up and started to dance.

Seeing the commotion, the grandfather of the baby, Aurelius Alderwood, was a muscular old man with green eyes and brown hair. Even though he looked old, his body was still muscular, and there was a sword tied to his hip in a scabbard.

He was the former knight of the Imperial unit of the Kiel family. He smacked his family for playing with the child. He looked at the child and said, "You are the grandson of Aurelius, the great knight of the imperial family. Work hard, and with my genetics you shall fly high; therefore, I shall name you Marcus Alderwood."

Hearing his words, his elder grandson Flion looked at him and said, "I had your genetics too and worked hard too; still look how I am."

Hearing his frowning, the grandfather replied and said, "Don't compare yourself with him; he is a genius, and you are mediocre at best."

Hearing his words, Flion got annoyed, and their blabbering continued.

But far away from the villages, in a place worshiped by the world, in the palaces of the Imperial Kiel family, in the Emperor's throne room, stood Goliath, the Imperial dragon.

His wings spanned over the entire palace it's breath teared the fabric of space and time,it's presence itself shook the Cosmos, his Golden scales shined in the moonlight.

The emperor of the Kiel Empire stood before the dragon who had awoken from his slumber. The emperor looked at the giant and said, "Oh, respectful guardian, what thing has awoken you from the slumber?"

As the dragon began to speak, time froze in the whole world except the royal palace. He spoke in a thundering tone, "The seeds of the

Draca's heads have appeared; stop them before they strip, otherwise they can lead to this empire's demise."

As soon as the Emperor heard those words, he trembled in fear. He spoke in a scared tone: "Who are the seeds? Tell me, great guardian."

But halfway through his words, the dragon started to fade in the air and disappeared completely.

Seeing the dragon fade, the emperor got mad and slammed his fist into the ground.

By the effect of his fist, there became a small hole in the ground, but that hole was deep enough to see the below part of the earth; it was as if a tool was used to dig that precise hole.

The Emperor angrily said, "Dammit, those draca's heads—it's the Calamity our ancestor, the unknown emperor, spoke about. How do I stop this?"
