Chapter 1 - A Normal Dungeon Raid

It's been five months since I was transported to this world.

It all just suddenly happened after I had just gotten out of a nearby convenience store to buy some snacks when a truck hit me.

Next thing I knew, I was now in the world of the last story I had ever read.

And that just so happened to be solo leveling.

And now here I am, a B-Rank hunter in a C-Rank dungeon.

Solo.

As a fighter class.

All the while rethinking all of my life choices, when the monarchs finally attack, just like in the original story.

Literally a nobody, if even S-Rank hunters in the story were straight up useless, then what does that make me? A mere B-Rank?

If I had to guess, in my current timeline, Sung Jin Woo still hasn't entered the double dungeon, so it meant I had time...

Time to get rich and live my life lavishly while I wait for him to fix everything, either that or I die when the first wave of strange events starts happening.

Unlike in the story, I was normal, which meant my classification would be permanent; I couldn't even level up... but I was lucky enough to get a B-Rank... so I guess I couldn't complain.

FWISH!

I swung my sword forward, cutting hanging vines that were blocking my way.

The C-Rank dungeon was your generic forest location, filled with wolves and goblins.

It was fairly nothing; I've taken hundreds of C-Rank dungeons already, and at this point, I was used to it.

"Who knew being a HEMA nerd would help out..."

I couldn't help but chuckle.

After a few more minutes, I finally saw the end of the forest, a huge runic door that was covered in vines, shrubs, and most importantly, a horde of goblins.

It was the boss's room.

[Haste]

I moved quickly, taking out the closest goblin wolf rider in front of me, and it barely even gave a fight as I cleaved both the goblin and the wolf in half.

FWOOSH!

Another tried to lunge at me, fangs ready to bite into my neck.

But I was faster.

And that was another one dead.

And that continued to repeat until all of them were down, and that was enough to get me enough essence stones to last for a month.

If that was my haul from mere low-level monsters like that, then what would the boss drops be like?

I slung my sword over my shoulder, taking a quick breather as I drank a few potions I had prepared in advance, immediately recovering my stamina and health as I prepared to take on the boss.

Judging by the enemies I had faced already, it was likely going to be a goblin chief, definitely a challenge, but not enough to warrant my death.

"Let's get this over with."

I sigh, kicking the huge stone door open as I enter the boss's room.

For a huge stone door that size, it was surprisingly easy to enter, my strength as a B-Rank already making me surpass most of humanity in terms of strength.

Something that I wasn't quite used to.

RAGHHH!

A familiar sound rang out, the cries of the boss who was about to lunge at me and try to pulverize me on the spot.

"Not today."

I raised my shield as it lunged, its huge cleaver aiming to slice me in half.

[Fortitude]

CLANG!

I parried its first blow, my hands slightly trembling from the impact; it was still a giant compared to me.

A full ten-foot green behemoth of fat and anger.

[Critical Strike]

FWISH!

I swung my sword straight at its belly, the sword cutting him open like a hot knife through butter.

It was satisfying to say the least.

"RAGHHH!"

The goblin chief shrieked, going feral as it abandoned all sense of technique and strategy, and it would rather try hitting me with a flurry of attacks to take revenge.

Each one was easily dodged due to my haste skill.

Sometimes, the ease with which I clear these dungeons makes me want to try and solo clear a B-Rank one... but at the same time.

I'm not an absolute idiot.

"Let me end your suffering, you poor green sod."

[Critical Strike]

I lunged, jumping towards its protruding belly as I used it as a platform to jump even higher, enough to be directly overhead, sword raised as I prepared to slice it into two.

[Overhead Slash]

SLASH!

And with a gush of blood and the disgusting smell of guts, that was it, another dungeon cleared...

At least...

That's what was supposed to happen.

"The hell...?"

It was a glowing hourglass, floating from where the goblin chief's heart was supposed to be.
