Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

Morning mist clung to Dagobah Beach, hanging low over the scattered mountains of trash like a thin veil. The sand was cool beneath Izuku's feet as he guided several pieces of scrap metal through the air in precise, circular motions. Seven months of training had begun to carve definition into his arms and sharpen his instincts. His quirk hummed softly, responding faster with every passing week.

A short distance away, Kirishima struck a battered washing machine with hardened fists. Each blow sent vibrations through the sand, and bits of rusted metal sprinkled around him. Sweat poured down his temples, but his grin never faded.

"Feeling good today," Kirishima said between breaths. He rolled his shoulders, stretching the stiffness from them.

Izuku nodded, keeping his focus on the orbiting metal. "Yeah. I don't know why, but… something feels different this morning."

Before either boy could question the shift in the air, a powerful gust slammed into the beach. Sand whipped around their feet as All Might landed in a crouch, his iconic figure shrinking into Toshinori's thinner form with a quiet, familiar cough.

"Good morning," he said, straightening with a serious calm that immediately put both boys on edge. Toshinori rarely sounded like that unless something important was about to happen. Kirishima frowned and approached. "You're early, All Might. Did something happen?"

Toshinori shook his head, though his expression remained firm. "Today… I come not as the Symbol of Peace, but as Toshinori Yagi."

The tone behind the words made both boys straighten instinctively. Izuku's breath caught in his chest.

Toshinori stepped forward, placing a gentle, steady hand on Kirishima's shoulder. His voice softened, carrying a weight that only years as a hero could give. "Eijiro. Your training, your instinct to protect others without hesitation… it has proven everything I needed to see."

Kirishima's eyes widened. His breath hitched.

Toshinori continued, "You are ready to inherit One For All."

For a moment, the world stood still. The distant ocean waves, the sound of metal swaying in Izuku's quirk—they all melted into silence. Izuku felt his chest swell with pride. "Kirishima… that's amazing."

Kirishima swallowed hard, uncertainty and excitement mixing behind his eyes. "You really think… I can handle something like that?" "You earned it," Izuku said. "All of it."

Toshinori plucked a hair from his head and held it out.

"To transfer the quirk… you must ingest this."

Both boys stared at him. Kirishima's voice cracked. "Wait—eat it?"

Izuku leaned in and whispered, equally confused, "I… I don't know. This is new to me too."

Toshinori nodded with absolute seriousness. "One For All must be passed through the intake of DNA. A hair is… admittedly unpleasant, but effective."

Kirishima looked at the hair, then at Izuku, then at Toshinori, as if checking for a punchline. There was none.

So he squeezed his eyes shut, muttered something about "manly suffering," and swallowed the hair like it was the worst medicine imaginable.

Toshinori slapped his back proudly. "Excellent. It will settle into your system gradually. Do not attempt to use it yet."

"Noted…" Kirishima groaned.

Izuku beamed, unable to hide his excitement. "You're going to crush it. Seriously."

Kirishima grinned back. "And we're still getting into UA together. That hasn't changed."

The morning sun slid higher into the sky as Toshinori watched his successor take his first breath with a new destiny waiting for him.

Everything truly had changed.

The Hours After

Later that afternoon, after training had slowed, the boys jogged the length of the beach. Izuku lifted and lowered bits of scrap metal at his side as he ran, testing his stamina. Kirishima kept glancing at his own hands, stretching them, clenching them, shaking them out.

"You know," Kirishima said, "I can't stop thinking about it. Of us trying out for UA. Same class. Same training. Same exams." His grin widened. "We'd be an awesome team."

Izuku's smile warmed. "Yeah. We really would."

They reached the center of the beach—the area they had cleared so thoroughly it almost looked like a makeshift arena. Kirishima stopped, flexing his fingers as a strange sensation pulsed down his arms.

"There it is again," he murmured. "Feels like something's buzzing under my skin."

Toshinori, watching them from a large piece of driftwood where he rested with a rice ball in hand, nodded. His voice carried slightly over the sand. "Perfectly normal. One For All is settling into your muscles."

Kirishima sighed in relief. "Okay, good. Thought I was turning into a human microwave."

Izuku cracked a smile but didn't get the chance to reply Because Kirishima moved. Kirishima's First Spark It happened so fast that Izuku barely registered it.

Kirishima threw a casual punch at the air, nothing more than a loose stretch of his arm. But the instant his fist extended, green lightning exploded around him. A thunderous crack split the beach as a shockwave tore outward, kicking up a ring of sand and loose metal in every direction.

Izuku staggered back, shielding his face.

"Kirishima!"

Kirishima stared at his arm in absolute disbelief, electricity still crackling faintly over his knuckles. "I—I didn't mean to do that! It just—just happened!"

All Might moved instantly, appearing beside them in a blur. He grabbed Kirishima's wrist, checking his skin with expert precision.

"No fractures," Toshinori said at last. "Good. That was under ten percent."

"Ten?!" Kirishima yelped. "That felt like my arm was a cannon!" "All of this," Toshinori explained calmly, "comes from your spirit surging faster than your body can adapt. You must train your vessel before you can safely handle more."

Izuku stepped closer, worry softening into relief. "You're okay, right?" Kirishima nodded, still trembling. "Yeah. I feel like my bones are vibrating… but I'm okay."

Toshinori straightened, pride glowing despite his thin form. "From this day forward, you train together. Izuku—your precision will help him learn control. Eijiro—your durability will help Izuku test his limits without fear."

Izuku nodded. "We balance each other."

Kirishima's grin returned, shaky but bright. "Then let's get stronger."

The waves rolled softly in the background. The crater in the sand gleamed where sunlight hit it. And for the first time, Izuku and Kirishima stood on equal ground, each with a power that could change the world.

A new chapter of training had begun.

And they were ready for it.
