POV Julius
"WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!?"
"I think it's pretty obvious what we did, isn't it?"
I responded to Angel as he was freaking out. We had just gotten back to the hotel from Vee tower. I had to use the [Sleep] spell from my Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown to get him to come with us and he finally woke up when we got here.
Granted, it was understandable why he was freaking out and refused to come with us. His shitass of a boss Valentino is abusive as fuck and had just gotten his ass beat very publicly. So logically Angel wanted to avoid Valentino taking his anger out on him.
"I know we may have gone a teensy bit overboard, but we couldn't just stand by knowing what Valentino was doing to you!" Charlie said with worry in her voice.
"Honestly, we didn't go far enough." I said as I walked over to Angel. I resummoned my staff and pulled out a red potion, handing it to Angel. "Here, drink this. This will heal your bruising."
Angel looked hesitant before he took it. He opened the cap and sniffed it for a bit before slowly drinking the potion. Soon all the bruising he had disappeared, shocking him and everyone else beside me.
"Wh- what is this!?" Angel exclaimed.
"What is that!?" Vaggie asked.
"It's a healing potion. I'm glad it worked." I replied calmly.
"Heh. Thank you, Julius. You got any other surprises I should know about, daddy!?" Angel said, clearly trying his best to play off the worry he still felt.
"A ton actually." I said in response. "Though probably not any-."
Before I could finish my sentence, Angel froze up. Everyone watched as a red smoke chain appeared around his neck and broke before disappearing into the air.
No one spoke or moved for five minutes. Either too shocked by what they saw or confused as to what just happened.
"Y-you..." Husk managed to say, breaking the silence.
Angel didn't say anything. A single tear ran down his cheek before both eyes became flooded.
No way. Angel was a slave? Was he released from a soul deal just now? Holy shit!
"Congrats Angel, you're free!" Husk said, coming around the counter of his bar to gently pat Angel on his back.
"HAHAHA!!!" Angel simply laughed and brought Husk into a massive bear hug. He quickly went around hugging everyone until he got to me and Charlie. Angel practically squeezed the life out of us as he got snot and tears all over us.
"Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Of course, Angel. You're my friend! If I had known what you were going through, I would have tried to do something sooner!" Charlie replied crying as well.
"Same here Angel. You deserve better than the shit you went through." I hugged Angel back. Seeing Angel like this caused a brief flash of my mother to appear in my mind. A smile slowly crept up on my face.
You did good, Julius. You did good.

Three Weeks Later
Life at the hotel changed a bit. Not by much but the vibe definitely shifted to be more uplifting.
Angel being free from his soul contract was obviously the major factor. He became more carefree and open to everyone. And even though his flirtiness stayed, it became more genuine rather than a just defense mechanism.
Husk was the lucky fellow on the receiving end of that genuine flirting. To my surprise, he didn't outright shut it down. Hey, if that's how he swings, I won't bash him for it! Go get'em Husk!
The new upbeat vibe of the hotel helped ease the rising stress that the quickly approaching extermination brought. Most of the past three weeks was just everyone playing games or simply relaxing and telling each other wild stories.
Of course, as the saying goes, the more things change the more they stay the same. Which was true for three things. Or rather people.
Charlie, while less stressed than usual, still looked worried about the extermination and tried to call her mother often.
Vaggie, *sigh*, oh Vaggie. I think I'm starting to have feelings for her. Maybe it's my dumbass type of liking spicy Latina women but the same repeating brawls with her have become very enjoyable.
Don't get it twisted! I am NOT a masochist! It's just that, while throwing fisticuffs with Vaggie, I could feel her genuine emotions. I could feel, as she rocked my shit, her warming up to me. Could be because she enjoys beating me up but I'm sure it's because we're becoming closer friends!
And finally, we get to yours truly! I was still focusing on my training but that changed as I focused on learning what spells I can and can't use with the Staff of Ainz Ooal Gown.
Even though Makima told me not to bother with the spells from the staff, I still did. Honestly, I just got bored as hell doing the same training over and over again and wanted something new to focus on.
That decision was definitely worth it! I found out that in my base form I could use spells up to Tier 3 and Tier 5 with my current Super Saiyan 1 form, which reached grade three with a x25 multiplier.
Using all those spells truly revigorated me mentally, making me want to grow even more powerful than I currently am.
Speaking of growing more powerful, I think it's about time I use up all my rolls to get some new stuff! It's been quite a while since the system updated that I have done any rolls. Honestly, even with my shit luck, I'm still excited as always to see what else I could possibly get from my Multiversal Gacha System!

A/N: This is an actual authors note and not me speaking to Julius lol xD. This chapter is way shorter than previous chapters. Which I apologize for.
I feel this isnt my best chapter writing or focus wise. Definitely felt less energized and motivated than usual while writing this.
I could make up a bunch of excuses and say I had to do an extra shift at work and take care of my injured puppy (which both are true) but its definitely just me using being tired as an excuse and yall deserve better.
If yall flame me for that I understand. NGL kinda curious to see what kind of roast yall come up with if yall do decided to flame me for how I wrote this chapter.
