Chapter 3 - CHAPTER 3: SUMMER PLANS

After her exams, Bella felt a huge weight lift off her shoulders. She had worked so hard, and now she was free for the summer. She had already planned to work at a café—just to earn a little money for herself and enjoy some independence.

That evening, after dinner, she got ready for bed and settled under the covers. Suddenly, a notification lit up her phone—it was a message from Anthony.

"How did your exams go?"

Bella couldn't help but chuckle as she typed back. "Well, they went well. I can't wait to enjoy my summer holiday!"

"What are your plans for the summer?" he asked.

She explained her plan to work at the café, spend time with friends, and relax. They chatted for a while, exchanging small jokes and updates. Then Anthony's message made her heart skip a beat:

"I would love to be part of your summer, Bella."

Bella blushed at the text, quickly typing back a shy smiley. Anthony continued, "Maybe we could have lunch together with William and Grace sometime? I understand you wouldn't agree to go with me alone."

Bella loved the idea, and they agreed on a day for lunch. She felt excited—a little spark she couldn't quite explain.

The day of the lunch arrived. Bella and Grace arrived at the café first, enjoying the sunny weather and chatting excitedly. Soon, Anthony and William joined them.

During the meal, William turned to Bella with a mischievous grin. "So… tell me, Bella. What kind of guy do you like?"

Bella hesitated, then smiled. "I like mature and respectful guys," she said honestly.

Anthony felt a small thrill inside. Maybe he had a shot with her. But he smiled politely and said nothing, keeping his feelings hidden—after all, she was still young, and he didn't want to rush anything.

The lunch continued pleasantly, filled with laughter and light conversation. Bella found herself enjoying Anthony's company more than she expected, though she kept reminding herself to stay cautious.
