🦋ALTHEA
Snarls and growls split the afternoon air as the pack watched from the front of the newly repaired fortress.
A large wolf brought his jaws down on the scruff of another, teeth burying into fur before letting go.
"Too shallow!" Thorne assessed from where he stood, his eyes concealed but Nyx did the watching from her perch on his shoulder. "Deeper into the scruff and clamp your jaw!"
The other gammas watched, alert and spines straight. It would be their turn soon.
The two shifted gammas nodded, putting space between each other before they began to circle again. Gauging. Waiting. Until one of them lunged and the other followed with a menacing counter.
The gammas collided in a blur of fur and grit, the impact echoing against the fortress walls. Thorne watched with predatory stillness. "Watch the center of gravity. Anticipate the lunge."
