Chapter 1 - Chapter: New Power Technique

The sun hung high over West City, bright and warm. The big yard around Capsule Corporation looked quiet from the outside. Birds flew from tree to tree. A soft wind moved the leaves. Inside the tall blue building, machines hummed in the labs, but up in the sky, two strong warriors were about to meet.

Goku floated down from the clouds. His orange gi flapped a little in the wind. He saw Vegeta standing on the grass with his arms crossed. Goku waved one hand high in the air. His smile was big and friendly, the same smile he always had.

"Hey, Vegeta! What's up?" Goku called out. His voice was loud and happy. He slowed down and dropped to the ground with a small puff of dust.

Vegeta did not wave back. His arms stayed crossed tight over his chest. His black hair pointed up sharp like always. He looked at Goku with narrow eyes. Under his breath, he muttered, "What's the problem with this fool now?" But he said it so low only he could hear.

Goku walked closer. He raised his right hand again and waved. His smile stayed on his face. "Sup, Vegeta! Been a while, hasn't it?" He kept walking until he stood just a few steps away.

Vegeta's voice was firm and a little angry. "Kakarot, where have you been? You had everyone worried. Even Chi-Chi was asking about you."

Goku's face changed. The big smile got smaller. His eyes looked serious now. "I've been looking for a way to grow stronger, Vegeta. And finally, I have found one."

Vegeta lifted one eyebrow. He thought for a second. "You seem to want to leave me further behind, Kakarot." He spoke slowly, like he was thinking hard. "Tell me what this method is."

Goku chuckled a little. "Heh, heh." Then he looked around to make sure no one was close. He stepped even closer to Vegeta. "Well, you see, it was Whis who told me about this new technique."

Vegeta took one small step back. His eyes got a little wider. "Why… why are you coming so close to me?"

"Shhh," Goku said fast. He put one finger to his lips. "I do not want Bulma to hear our conversation." He closed his eyes for a second. He used his ki to scan the whole big compound. He checked every room, every hallway, every corner. When he opened his eyes again, he nodded. "She's in her lab. She's rebuilding the training room I destroyed a few days ago."

Vegeta put his arms back in their first position—crossed tight. "Okay. Go on."

Goku crossed both his arms over his head, just like he did when he was a kid and wanted to look cool. "This may sound weird, but Whis said that in order to break my limits once more, I need to find more energy and add it to mine."

Vegeta tilted his head. "What do you mean, gathering of energy? Are you talking about the Spirit Bomb from the Tournament of Power?"

They moved together to the corner of the big building. The roof hung over them and shut out the sun completely. It made a cool, dark spot. They stood close and kept their voices low, like two kids hiding a secret.

Goku looked straight at Vegeta. He did not smile now. "I'm talking about fucking other women, Vegeta."

Vegeta's mouth fell open. His eyes went wide like two big plates. "Wha—what!" He almost shouted, but he caught himself and lowered his voice. "You can't be serious? Whis didn't say such a thing, did he?"

Goku's face stayed cold and calm. "Believe it or not, Vegeta, I reacted the same way when he first told me about this technique."

Vegeta shook his head fast. "That's bullshit. That's not a technique. Whis possibly cannot be serious. And you cannot be serious too, Kakarot! That will be cheating on Chi-Chi."

Goku did not look away. "Tell me this, Vegeta. When you fuck Bulma, do you feel something deep within you?"

Vegeta's face turned a little red. He looked at the ground. "I… I can't tell you that, Kakarot." He paused. Then a memory came to him. His eyes got far away. "Wait. I remember something. After our fight against Demigra and Aios, we came back to Earth. My energy was gone. I was empty. But when I fucked Bulma that night, my energy came back almost instantly."

Goku nodded slow. "Now you understand it, don't you? Sex gives us a massive boost of energy. It has helped us time and time again."

Vegeta crossed his legs and lifted a little off the ground. He floated in the air without thinking. "Then we can just spend more time with our wives. We do not need to fuck other women."

Goku looked up at the clear blue sky. A small cloud floated by. "It won't work that way, Vegeta. Our wives are quite old. Bulma and Chi-Chi haven't aged much because of their wishes with the Dragon Balls. The wishes keep them young on the outside, but they don't renew their energy to its prime. It's not the same as when they were twenty."

Vegeta floated back down. His boots touched the grass. "I cannot fuck any woman except Bulma, Kakarot. I understand you very well right now. Still, I cannot do it. I wish you the very best."

Their eyes met. It was like a standoff. Two proud Saiyans looking at each other, neither one blinking.

Goku smiled again. It was a small, friendly smile. "Thanks, Vegeta." He gave his friend a big thumbs up.

Vegeta looked curious now. "Where will you go to start this new technique?"

Goku's smile got bigger. "Planet Sadala. Kale and Caulifla should give me a massive amount of energy."

Vegeta's mouth opened wide. His tongue hung out a little, like a dog that saw a big bone. "They're both Saiyans like us. And much younger. Plus, Kale has an impressive ass. Caulifla has some mighty breasts."

Goku laughed. His smile turned a little mean. "I thought you said you had no interest. Why are you daydreaming now?"

Vegeta's face turned bright red. He snapped back to his usual pose—arms crossed, chin high. "Oh, shut up, Kakarot. You didn't hear that from me."

A soft voice came from the shadows. "Well, I heard it, Vegeta. And you're going to explain everything to me. You too, Goku." Bulma stepped out. She held a small hammer in her left hand. Her blue hair was tied back. Her eyes were angry.

Vegeta looked around fast. "Bulma! Damn you, Kaka—" He stopped. Goku was gone. Only a small puff of dust showed where he had been. "What! Where did Kakarot go? Shit, Bulma is gonna kill me." He muttered it to himself.

Bulma walked closer. Her shoes clicked on the ground. "Seems Goku managed to escape. I didn't expect him to be that smart." She stopped right in front of Vegeta. "Kale has an impressive ass. That was your words, not mine, Vegeta. Please kindly explain that!" Veins popped on her forehead. Her eyes twitched.

Vegeta dropped to his knees. He raised both hands in the air. His eyes closed tight. "You pay for this, Kakarot," he thought to himself.

Far away, up in the tall green mountains, the air was cool and clean. Water fell from a small waterfall. Birds sang in the trees. Piccolo sat on a big rock. His legs were crossed. His eyes were closed. His hands were together in front of him. He looked like a wise man looking for peace.

A loud sound cut the quiet.

"Swoosh. Boom."

Goku landed on the ground. Dust flew up around his feet. "Hey, Piccolo!" he called out with a loud voice.

Piccolo did not open his eyes. "I know why you're here, Goku."

Goku rubbed the back of his head. "Sorry for interrupting your training. But I need to ask a favor." He stood behind Piccolo. His arms were crossed. His head bent a little to the left side.

Piccolo opened his eyes. They were sharp and green. "I know everything, Goku. And yes, I will follow you to Planet Sadala." In a blink, he was behind Goku. He leaned close and whispered, "Let's go gather up some of that sweet, sweet energy."

Goku smiled wide. "I'm going to use Instant Transmission right now. Place your hand on me, Piccolo."

Piccolo put two fingers on Goku's shoulder. "Yes, Goku."

The breeze played with their hair. It moved Piccolo's white cape. The sun made everything bright and golden.

"Here we go," Goku said.

"Swoosh."

Both men disappeared in a flash of light. The mountain went quiet again. Only the waterfall kept singing its song.
