Chapter 5 - Chapter 5. New Room

A grand residence with many windows came into view.

"We've finally arrived," Isabella said with a smile.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

A young girl with short hair and simple clothing approached Isabella.

"Miss Isabella, why did you bring this dirty kid here?"

"Dirty kid?" Ciko Joun grumbled.

"Ann, mind your manners!"

Isabella's annoyed expression looked more frightening to Ann than a lion.

Ann immediately fell silent after hearing Isabella's angry tone.

"Alright, Ann, you should get along with Ciko Joun."

Isabella left the two of them together.

"Okay, I'll guide you to your room. Miss Isabella's orders."

In front of them was a dirty, neglected storage room—and apparently, that was Ciko Joun's new room.

"Hey, why is my room this ugly?!" Ciko complained.

"IDIOT, you should be grateful Miss Isabella saved you!" Ann snapped back.

Ann left after handing Ciko a broom to clean his new room.

Ciko Joun began his work:

1. Taking out several worthless empty boxes.

2. Sweeping the shelves, closet, and bed.

3. Fetching water from the garden and splashing it onto the windows to clean them.

4. Rearranging the room layout.

Jreeeng.

The room was finally done and ready to be lived in.

"Hah, finally finished."

Ciko Joun sat on the bed, exhausted from cleaning the room.

His eyes slowly closed from sleepiness, and Ciko fell asleep sitting upright on the bed.

...

"Master."

"Master, are you awake?"

It was a familiar voice Ciko Joun had heard before.
