Then—she stopped crying. I felt it before I saw it. A stillness. A shift. She lifted her head. I could feel her gaze even with my eyes closed, like warmth brushing across skin. She straightened her spine. Crossed her legs. Placed her hands on her knees. And then—she hummed. A sound unlike anything I had ever heard.

Not a song. Not a chant. Something older. The air changed instantly. Pressure built in my chest, my ears ringing as mana surged—no, not surged—spread.

Her magical energy rolled outward in waves, gentle and overwhelming all at once.

It was too much. We can't handle such force. Such powerful energy. We opened our eyes. Lady Seraphine was glowing. No—She was shining. Light poured from her like dawn breaking through flesh, soft gold threaded with white, otherworldly and blinding. It wrapped around her body, her hair lifting as if touched by an unseen wind.

Magic so pure it hurt to look at. The ground beneath her glowed faintly.
