"Keep those flowers, votes, and comments coming! The Beasts Pirates need funding!"
The Refusal
"No."
Luo Xing refused before Yamato could even finish asking.
"Eh? Why not?"
Her voice trembled with disbelief and hurt. Her husband had never refused her before.
"Because no means no."
His tone was firm, final.
"Hmph!"
Yamato puffed her cheeks and pulled her arm free. For a moment she'd looked like a sweet, gentle girl—but that softness existed only when she was around him. The rest of the world knew a completely different Yamato.
Kaido's daughter wasn't easily crossed. Inherited strength ran through her blood. Even in the original history, she had traded blows with her father in his hybrid dragon form and stood her ground.
Seeing her anger, Luo Xing softened his voice.
"Love, you're already plenty strong. Your fruit is already a Mythical Zoan. Why would you need a Mutant Cell?"
Yamato turned away, stubborn as ever.
"Because I'm going to defeat Father—and free the people of Wano!"
Some things never changed. Yamato might have stopped idolizing Oden, but her love for freedom and her hatred of oppression had not faded. She couldn't bear to watch Kaido and Orochi squeeze Wano's people into starvation.
Luo Xing sighed.
As a traveler from another world, he didn't agree with Kaido's tyranny either—but he knew that rushing change would only destroy everything. Revolution took time, and subtle hands.
He stepped forward, resting a hand on her shoulder.
"I promise I'll change things for Wano's people—but you have to promise you'll listen to me when the time comes."
Her eyes brightened instantly. She threw her arms around his neck, smiling through the last of her tears.
"Really?"
"When have I ever lied to you?"
"Mua~!"
She kissed him quick and hard.
"You're the best husband! As long as it helps Wano, I'll do whatever you say!"
Luo Xing looked down at the flawless face inches from his and suddenly felt a different kind of hunger.
Yamato squeaked as he swept her off her feet and carried her toward the room.
Hours later, a faint, breathless voice drifted through the quiet house.
"But husband… I still want a Mutant Cell…"
A sharp smack and his amused growl followed.
"Do you want to turn ugly? Mutant Cells ruin your body—just look at Page One and Fuzzy Fe. Do you find those fangs and claws beautiful?"
"Eeeh?! I'll pass then! No Mutant Cell for me!"
On the High Seas
Two pirate ships clashed beneath stormy skies, cannons thundering.
One flew the banner of the Beasts Pirates.
"It's Kaido's men! Run!"
The battle was hopelessly one-sided. Against Ulti and Page One—the sibling pair whose strength now rivaled the Calamities—the enemy captain, despite a bounty in the hundreds of millions, couldn't even resist.
"Headbutt Impact!"
Ulti's golden-lit forehead crashed through the air itself, unleashing a shockwave that tore the sea apart.
"No, please! Take the treasure—just don't—!"
The pirate never finished his plea; the shockwave obliterated him completely.
Page One whistled, half in awe.
"Sis, you shouldn't call that the Spiked-Head Dragon anymore. It's the Mythical Gold-Head Dragon now!"
The Oni-Class Mutant Cell had transformed her already iron-hard skull into something glittering and indestructible—harder than diamond, capable of firing shockwaves without even making contact.
Crewmen hauled chests of treasure aboard, but Page One still frowned.
"Too little. This won't even cover the Lord Consort's lab costs."
Ulti shot him a glare.
"Be grateful we got that much. Ever since our raids started, New World pirates hide in their holes the moment they see our flag. We can't rob what we can't catch."
She was right. The Beasts Pirates' recent rampages had thrown the New World into terror. No one flaunted wealth anymore. Even the other Emperors avoided picking fights with Kaido's men over pocket change.
Page One clenched his fists, eyes burning.
"We can't go back like this. The Lord Consort promised that if I did well, he'd invent something to upgrade me to Mythical level!"
He turned suddenly, resolve blazing.
"Sis—let's rob the Heavenly Tribute!"
Ulti froze, then whacked him hard on the head.
"Are you crazy?! That's the Celestial Dragons' tribute! It's escorted by elite Marines! You want to die?!"
The Heavenly Tribute—the offering collected from kingdoms to appease the Celestial Dragons—was guarded by some of the Navy's strongest. Attacking it was practically suicide.
But Page One only grinned.
"Sis, with our strength now, are we really afraid of a few Marines? Even if the World Government sends an army after us, they can't enter Wano—not with Kaido guarding it!"
She hesitated. Logically… he wasn't wrong.
And deep down, Ulti's blood sang for adventure.
"Fine," she said at last, excitement gleaming in her eyes.
"If we're doing this, we'll do it big!"
And so the reckless siblings of the Beasts Pirates began the most daring hunt of their lives—tracking the movements of the Heavenly Tribute.
