Here's **Chapter 2** of *Omniscient
Jinwoo stood in the middle of what could only be described as a **lunar trash festival**, covered head to toe in gooey sludge, as a **giant, sentient trash monster** slithered off into the distance like a grotesque parade float that no one had asked for. He sighed, wiped his brow, and checked the floating window that had just appeared before him.
**[Scenario 2: The Dog Who Will Devour the Moon.]**
"…A dog?" Jinwoo asked the empty room, his voice dripping with disbelief. "What kind of prophecy is that?!"
The window flashed, a new line of text appearing:
**[Warning: The Dog is coming.]**
His first thought was that it might be some kind of literal "dog"—like a huge, terrifying hound, maybe a **beast** with eyes that glowed with fury. The kind of creature you'd expect to fight with a sword or a magical artifact.
But then, he noticed something… odd.
Out the corner of his eye, a tiny dog came bounding down the street, tail wagging and tongue flapping out of its mouth. It was an ordinary, fluffy, **small dog**, no larger than a loaf of bread.
"Wait… Is that... the dog?!" Jinwoo gasped. "It looks like a fluffy chihuahua with delusions of grandeur."
The little dog stopped, looked up at him with curious, sparkling eyes, and then—**barked at the moon**.
Jinwoo stared at it, half in confusion and half in sheer terror. Was this it? Was this the **end of the world**? A dog barking at the moon?
The prophecy said **"Devour the Moon"**, and that could only mean… *something ominous*. Jinwoo was about to step forward when—
**BOOM!**
A massive flash of light shot across the sky, so bright it almost looked like someone had turned on a **supernova**.
Jinwoo's eyes widened in panic. The moon was glowing… **unnaturally**. A large **crack** appeared on its surface. It was like watching a giant glass ball begin to fracture from the inside out.
He took a step back. "What kind of nightmare am I in?!"
The small dog barked again, this time running toward the glowing moon, chasing it as though it were the ultimate tennis ball. But then, to Jinwoo's horror—**the moon** began to shrink.
It wasn't just shrinking; it was **disintegrating**, cracking into pieces and floating into the air like glitter in a snowstorm. And the dog was joyfully chasing the moon shards, leaping high into the air and **devouring them** like a hyperactive vacuum cleaner.
Jinwoo stood frozen, his mouth agape. "Wait… so… this dog… it's actually going to—"
**[Scenario 2: The Dog Has Consumed the Moon.]**
The prophecy was right.
The little dog had eaten the entire moon. And now the entire sky was dark, devoid of that iconic white orb.
Just as Jinwoo was about to lose all semblance of sanity, a new **floating window** appeared, almost as if it was trying to explain itself:
**[Scenario 2 Completed: Moon Devoured.]**
**Reward: 500 Coins.**
"Five hundred? For that?! The moon is gone! There's no light anymore!" Jinwoo screamed. "What am I supposed to do now?"
His confusion was interrupted by a loud, almost **too cheerful** bark. The dog, with its small belly now distended from its moon-eating binge, trotted over to Jinwoo, dropping a **moon shard** at his feet like a **doggy present**.
Jinwoo stared at the shard.
It was glowing faintly.
"You've gotta be kidding me," he muttered. "This… this is the *Apocalypse*."
**[New Scenario Alert: The Quest for the Moon's Shards.]**
Jinwoo glanced up, the color draining from his face.
**[Quest Details: Collect the pieces of the Moon before time runs out.]**
His inner monologue began to play out like a sitcom. "Wait, did the dog just destroy the moon? And now I have to go pick up the pieces?! This is the worst RPG sidequest ever!"
But his new title—**"Prophet of Trash"**—wasn't going to win him any favors. Maybe he should just embrace his **fate** as the most confused **oracle** in existence.
Before he could process anything further, the dog *wagged its tail* again and then **leapt** straight into the air, trying to bite a passing cloud.
Jinwoo stared, a deep sigh escaping him. "Okay, so now we've got an **apocalyptic moon-eating dog**, and I have to collect moon shards. At least it's something to do."
As the dog yapped happily, another window popped up in front of him.
**[You have been joined by the Fateful Companion: Barko, the Moon Devourer.]**
Jinwoo froze. He looked at the dog. Then the window. Then the dog again.
"That's... that's the **name** you gave it?" he groaned. "I'm going to lose my mind."
But before he could protest further, a new message appeared.
**[Warning: The Time Limit Has Begun. You have 12 hours to recover the remaining moon shards.]**
"Well, that's a bit too much to process in a single breath," Jinwoo muttered. "But fine, let's get this over with."
As he started walking to find the first shard, Barko darted ahead, happily sniffing the air. It seemed ready to **devour** any piece of moon it could find.
