Chapter 239 - Was I too obvious?

I sat by Damar's side, squeezing a piece of rough cloth and dabbing his pale skin with it.

He was burning, and by burning I mean the water evaporated as soon as it touched his skin.

It was that bad and I grew very worried.

I had to do something. His rut was dangerous, apparently. He wasn't erect now, despite being in a rut, and Noah told me that it would stay that way—forever—if he went any longer without intercourse.

In other words, I had to make him stand now, or else he would never stand again. I gulped.

Why were things with Damar always so different and complicated?

I watched how he breathed softly like he was sleeping peacefully, when he was burning so horribly.

I bit my lip. Should I do it now? I should... Should I?

My head was all over the place.

"How is he?" Noah asked and I nearly flinched, like I had been caught trying to steal. I lifted my head and found him walking into the cave with snow on his head.
