Chapter 63 - 63

Harry rolled his eyes as he and the other Slytherin's sat down for breakfast, Draco was still complaining about not being able to enter the tournament. He had been doing so all morning and all of last evening.

"Why do you even want to enter?" Harry asked. "You're rich so you won't need the prize money, and you won't need the fame since you're a Malfoy."

"Alright first of all it's not like it's just a little bit of money, it's a thousand galleons if you win." Draco responded. "My family might be richer than Merlin but a thousand galleons is still a lot of money. Also if I became a Tri-Wizard winner then I could rub it in Weasley's face." Draco finished with a grin.

"Malfoy," Daphne sighed as she rolled her eyes. "if you want to irritate Weasley then just tell him how much money your father gives you in a week." She said, personally Daphne had nothing against people with small amounts of money, in fact she was quite sympathetic towards those with less money, her only real exception was Ron Weasley...because he's a dick. A few seconds later Professor Snape arrived and began handing out the timetables for the year.

"Potter," Professor Snape said as he gave Harry his schedule. "what I am about to say is something that I am only going to say once so pay attention. You were given captaincy of the quidditch team for one reason and one reason only, that's because I want Slytherin to win and you're an excellent chaser. While I understand that there is no official quidditch matches this year, there will be next year. If you do not perform to the same standards as your previous years then I will not hesitate to remove you from your position. Is that clear?" Snape said, personally he wished he could have made one of the other students captain but unfortunately for him they weren't that smart which was why Snape reluctantly was giving the position to Harry.

"Blindingly." Harry calmly nodded to Professor Snape. Professor Snape sniffed before he moved on.

"I see he still loves you just as much as before." Tracey calmly said once Professor Snape was out of hearing range.

"What do we have first?" Draco asked as he began eating.

"First we have herbology," Harry answered as he looked over the timetable. "then we have care of magical creatures."

"I still can't believe that we have to suffer under that oaf." Pansy complained.

"You could always quit the lesson, Pansy." Tracey said, knowing that the only reason Pansy even went to that lesson was because that was where her 'precious' Draco was going.

"I actually rather enjoy Professor Hagrid's lessons." Daphne said.

"Are you serious?" Pansy said with disbelief in her voice.

"I won't deny that Professor Hagrid is not the best teacher but he is quite knowledgeable." Daphne replied. "Besides thanks to Harry all of his lessons will be approved by either Professor McGonagall or Headmaster Dumbledore so we don't have to worry about experiencing anymore...what did you call it Harry?" She asked.

"Over enthusiastic near manslaughter." Harry answered.

"Yes, anymore of that. We don't have to experience anymore of that." She said.

"You're welcome." Harry smiled before he noticed Angela leave the great hall, giving him a subtle look as she did so. Harry quickly finished the small part of his breakfast that he hadn't eaten before he stood up. "Hey Daph, do me a favour and look after Jet for a while, I just need to go and do something. I'll meet you guys in herbology."

"You're off to tongue wrestle with your vassal, aren't you?" Jet said knowingly.

"I am, forgive me." Harry said before he began walking away.

"No." Jet called out as Harry began leaving.

"Love you too, Jet." Harry called back. If Harry had looked back then he would have seen Daphne frown because she had seen Angela leave shortly before, it didn't take her long to guess why Harry had left.

"Oh, I've missed this." Harry smiled before he and Angela continued snogging.

"You're not the only one who has missed this, Master." Angela said with a bright smile once they stopped a few minutes later. "You've gotten better at it, much better than before."

"Yes, well between practising with you and your mother it was inevitable that I pick up a few things." Harry grinned. "I still can't believe you and your mother had agreed to do that for me."

"I live to serve you, Master." Angela replied. "If you're happy then I am happy."

"I don't know what I did to deserve you, Angela." Harry said as he leaned over and kissed her cheek.

"I'll tell you exactly what you did," She smiled. "you kept being your wonderful self, and that was good enough for me."

"You're going to give me an ego, I hope you know that." Harry told her jokingly. "How's your mother by the way?"

"As of the moment she's out of the country on business." Angela said before her voice adopted a teasing tone. "Why? Miss her already?"

"Well...she did have a certain way of keeping my interest." Harry said with a small blush.

"Hmm, perhaps I can also try and keep your interest." Angela suggested with a wicked smile.

"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Harry blinked at her.

"Yes, but not now. How about tomorrow after your classes? I have a way to keep Blaise busy."

"Are you sure?" Harry asked, "You don't have to do it if you don't want to." He added.

"That's the thing, I want to." She smiled before she kissed him again.

The Hogwarts students were all sat in the great hall, everyone knew that today would be the day when the other two schools would arrive.

"Now everyone," Dumbledore spoke as he stood at his spot in front of the teacher's table. "everyone please welcome the lovely ladies and gentlemen of Beauxbaton Academy and their headmistress, Madam Olympe Maxime." Dumbledore said before the doors of the great hall opened and a group of students dressed in light blue robes walked in, these students attracted a lot of attention thanks to their good looks, but that attention was pulled off of them and onto the headmistress when she entered. She was dressed in expensive looking clothes but the reason why everyone looked towards her was undoubtedly her height.

"Merlin, she looks like she's the same height as Hagrid." Blaise whispered.

When the headmistress reached Dumbledore he reached up to grab the hand that she offered him, he planted a small kiss on it before he gestured to the seat next to his own. She nodded and went to sit in it, her students looked around before they eventually decided to sit down at the Ravenclaw table.

"And now," Dumbledore spoke. "let us welcome our friends from the North, the proud children of Durmstrang academy and their headmaster, Igor Karkaroff."

A few seconds later a group of wizards and witches in heavy winter clothes, they were followed by their headmaster who was tall and thin like Dumbledore but didn't really look anything like him. He was dressed in expensive, sleek and silver furs, he had a curly goatee, yellow teeth and a big smile. Though most of the hall's attention was pulled towards the student that was walking next to him.

"It's Victor Krum!" Ron Weasley's voice echoed throughout the hall, having blurted that out a bit louder than he probably attended.

Harry looked at Krum and saw that he looked annoyed, but was trying to hide it. Krum, despite his age, was arguably the most famous quidditch player of all time and had actually played in the world cup, he did catch the snitch at the game, though sadly for him Ireland still won thanks to having more points. In fact Harry would say that he and Krum were probably the two most famous students in the school right now.

"Dumbledore!" Headmaster Karkaroff chuckled as he greeted Dumbledore with a hug.

"Igor." Dumbledore smiled back before he gestured Igor towards a seat next to his own before he turned to the Durmstrang students. "Feel free to sit wherever you want." He told them.

"Quick, quick, move up." Harry heard Ron say to the other Gryffindors, it was clear he wanted Krum to sit next to him. Unfortunately for him that was not going to happen as Victor Krum began leading the rest of his school students towards the Slytherin table. They all sat down near Harry and his friends.

"You have snake," Victor said with a heavy accent to Harry as he looked at Jet who was on Harry's shoulders. "they let you have snake in this school?" He asked.

"He's my familiar." Harry responded. "His name is Jet."

"Oh," Victor said in understanding before he held out a hand. "I am Victor Krum." He said.

"Harry Potter." Harry said as he shook Krum's hand, internally he felt a small amount of amusement at the fact that he and Victor - the only two students who really didn't need an introduction - were introducing themselves.

"Excellent," Dumbledore spoke once everyone was settled, at that moment Professor McGonagall levitated something into the hall, she gently placed it down in the middle of the hall, it was a large wooden goblet. "now that we are all here allow me to quickly explain the tournament selection process before we all become too distracted by the lovely food we will soon receive. The champions will be chosen by an impartial selector: the Goblet of Fire." At this point Dumbledore gestured to the goblet, everyone watched as all of a sudden blue-white flames appeared on the round edge of the goblet. "Anybody wishing to submit themselves as champion must write their name and school a slip of parchment and drop it into the goblet, those who wish to become champions have twenty-four hours in which to put their names forward. Tomorrow night, Halloween, the goblet will give us the names of the three it has judged most worthy to represent their schools. The goblet will be placed in the entrance hall tonight, where it will be available to all those wishing to compete.

I will be placing an age line around it to prevent those who are underage from entering. I would like to remind you all that this is only for students who are seventeen years old. Though I must warn those that intend to enter, this is not a decision that one should make without thinking about the consequences, once you have entered you will not be able to un-enter. Good luck to all of you. And now feel free to enjoy a delicious dinner." Dumbledore finished with a smile as food appeared on the tables.

Dumbledore returned to his seat as everyone began eating.

"You are...parslemouth?" Victor asked, struggling slightly with the word.

"I am," Harry nodded. "Have been for as long as I can remember. I saw your match at the world cup by the way, you certainly earn your reputation."

"Thank you," Victor nodded. "do you play quidditch?" He asked.

"I'm a chaser for my house team and this year I became its captain." Harry responded.

"You're more than that," Daphne spoke up before turning to Krum. "Harry over here is the youngest chaser to play in this school in a century." She told him with a smile on her face.

"Really?" Krum asked Harry. Harry gave Daphne a mock glare before he turned to back to Krum.

"Yes," Harry said. "my two passions are magic and quidditch. After I finish school I think I might go into professional quidditch or enter the duelling circuit."

"You have many duels here?" Victor asked.

"Not too many, most people don't really want to duel with me." Harry frowned.

"That's because everyone's bloody afraid of you." Blaise said with a roll of his eyes.

"Afraid?" One of Victor's friends asked.

"Well, not afraid exactly," Tracey spoke. "but Harry's the best in our year and pretty much always wins against whoever he goes up against, same age or older. Even in his first year he was duelling third year students and winning."

"Stop it," Harry chuckled. "you'll make me blush." Harry said, the group continued talking while people from the other tables were staring at them, mostly with jealousy, one especially jealous person was Ron Weasley who looked like he was trying to glare a hole into Harry.

A few days later all of the students were gathered in the great hall for the champion selection ceremony, the last few days had been very interesting in Harry's opinion. He had done the best he could to get friendly with the Durmstrang students, he hadn't really yet made an effort with the Beauxbaton students but he still had time for that. Harry found out that he and Krum were especially getting along with each other, rumours were spreading around the school that Krum had adopted Harry as his student to teach him all of his quidditch tricks.

Harry had also been enjoying attending defence against the dark arts class now that Moody was teaching it, the man most definitely knew his stuff and he was exactly like Harry had been told he was. Earlier today he had taught them about the unforgivables, he hadn't shown them any of them but he had made them study them.

"How the bleeding hell are you supposed to defend against them if you don't them?" Moody has asked in the lesson, Harry couldn't help but agree with that.

Harry had also had some entertainment over the last few days, one great example being when the Weasley twins tried and failed to get past Dumbledore's age line and ended up with beards like Dumbledore's. Harry had been doing brilliantly in his classes, just like normal, and had spent some time in the chamber of secrets, he was really happy with his progress and that was why he didn't mind rewarding himself with Angela. Harry had actually gotten the chance to practise all of the things that Mrs Zabini had taught him, they weren't able to do it Harry's room since they didn't want to risk someone finding out but luckily Harry was allowed to access the same bathroom as prefects can thanks to being a quidditch captain. Apparently bath fun time was just as fun as regular fun time. Angela wasn't experienced as her mother (not really surprising since she was actually a virgin until Harry had fixed that) but it was enjoyable all the same.

The hall had been altered so that now everyone was sitting around the edges of the room or at one of the two long tables in the hall. The reason it had been altered was to give more space to the goblet of fire which was still in the middle of the hall. Right now Harry was sat in-between Daphne and Tracey with Angela sat right behind him. On Daphne's left was Krum and several other Durmstrang boys while most of the Slytherins in Harry's year sat on Tracey's right.

"Look, it's the Minister." Draco leaned over and whispered. Harry's eyes trailed over to the head table, he saw the three heads of each school along with Ludo Bagman and Minister Fudge.

"Now, ladies and gentlemen," Dumbledore spoke as he stood next to the goblet. "allow me to introduce Ludo Bagman, the head of the 'Department of Magical Games and Sports', and Minister Fudge." Dumbledore said, if he felt annoyed when he mentioned Fudge then nobody noticed it. The hall cheered for them before Dumbledore continued speaking "These two have worked very hard to help bring back the tournament and will serve as the judges of the tournament along with myself, Headmistress Maxime and Headmaster Karkaroff." Dumbledore said, he knew that Ludo and Barty Crouch Sr had actually done most of the work but Bart was now in prison so Fudge had decided to come in and take over. "In a minute or so the goblet will reveal the names of the champions, when I call their names they will come and take their parchment before heading to the side chamber..." Dumbledore gestured to a door near the staff table. "...from there they will wait for further instructions." Dumbledore said before he pulled out his wand.

Dumbledore waved his wand, putting out all of the torches and candles in the room except for a few in carved pumpkins that were placed all over the hall. The only other exception was obviously the goblet itself.

The flames inside the goblet turned suddenly red and sparks began to fly from it. A piece of parchment shot out of it with a red flame that disappeared after a second. Dumbledore caught the piece of parchment as light of the flames turned back to blue-white. "The champion for Durmstrang," Dumbledore said as he began reading. "is none other than Viktor Krum!" The hall erupted into cheers as Victor stood up and went over to collect his parchment, he nodded to Dumbledore before walking to the side chamber.

"Who else would it have been?" Harry heard Blaise snort. Once Victor was gone another piece of parchment shot out of the flames.

"The champion for Beauxbatons," Dumbledore spoke as he read the parchment. "is Miss Fleur Delacour!" At that moment a very beautiful blonde from the Beauxbaton students stood up and walked to collect the parchment, every male eye was on her.

"She's a veela." Angela whispered into Harry's ear.

"Really?" Harry hummed, he knew what veela were, having read up on them after seeing a few of them be mascots during the quidditch world cup. Much like sirens they weren't classified as fully human and were instead considered to be magical beings, veela were beautiful women with white-gold hair and skin that appears to shine moon-bright. When angry, they can transform into a more bird like and far less attractive form where they could produce flames, at least that was what the books said.

"And now we wait to see who the Hogwarts champion will be," Dumbledore said once Fleur had entered the side chamber. A few seconds later another piece of parchment shot out and Dumbledore easily caught it. "the Hogwarts champion will be...Cedric Diggory!" Dumbledore announced, at that moment a handsome Hufflepuff boy stood up as many clapped for him, especially the Hufflepuff students.

"A Hufflepuff?" Harry heard Malfoy groan.

"Could be worse, at least it's not a Gryffindor." Theo commented.

"Now," Dumbledore spoke once Cedric had exited the hall. "we finally have our three Tri-Wizard champions, now the next part of the tournament will..." Whatever Dumbledore was about to say was cut off as a fourth piece of parchment shot out of the goblet, Dumbledore's eyes widened as he caught it. Everyone was starting, wondering why a fourth parchment had come out. "H..." Dumbledore choked slightly as he read it. "Harry Potter." He said in a quiet voice, though he might as well have shouted it since everyone in the hall heard. "Harry Potter." Dumbledore looked toward Harry.

"Sir?" Harry asked in a questioning voice.

"Your name is on this parchment." Dumbledore told him.

"Pardon me sir," Harry coughed as he stood up. "I think there has been a mistake of some kind. Firstly I did not enter my name into the goblet, nor did I ask anyone else to do so on my behalf. Even if I had then I still shouldn't be chosen as this is the fourth parchment for what is supposed to be a tournament between three people. I did not enter my name sir."

"Yeah right." One Hufflepuff boy scoffed, his voice carrying across the hall.

"Zach! Be quiet!" Susan Bones hissed as she glared at Zacharias Smith, he was a boy in her year but not the most likeable one.

"What?! He's a cheat!" Smith continued. "I'd bet my trust vault that he cheated to get his name in there."

"Would you really?" Harry asked in a calm voice, resisting the urge to grin.

"What?" Smith blinked.

"Would you really bet your trust vault?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow. Zach was about to answer but paused when he noticed the look in Harry's eyes, something felt wrong. "Well Smith? You want to put your money where your mouth is? I'm not poor but I'd love to have another trust vault? You want to bet?" Harry asked.

"There will be no betting trust vaults." Professor McGonagall's voice cut off any response.

"Shame, I was about to be a whole trust vault richer." Harry said as he took out his wand. "I, Harry James Potter, do swear on my magic that I did not intentionally or knowingly enter my name into the goblet of fire, nor did I ask anybody else to enter my name for me, this I swear on my magic, so mote it be." Harry said as his wand glowed, everyone in the hall stared at him, shocked that he had just made a magical oath. "Next time engage your brain first, Smith." Harry told him before he turned back to Dumbledore. "So is this situation resolved now?" Harry asked.

"Mr Potter," Dumbledore spoke. "While I believe that you did not enter your name into the goblet, can you please enter the side chamber so we may discuss what happened?" Dumbledore asked. "We must determine if the goblet will make you compete or not." Dumbledore added.

"If I must." Harry sighed.

"Do you want me to come with you?" Angela whispered.

"That's entirely up to you." Harry told her before he began walking to the side chamber, he was not at all surprised when Angela began walking with him. "This'll be interesting." Harry whispered to Jet.

"Your life would last much longer if less things were interesting." Jet replied.

Omake:

"And now the Hogwarts champion is..." Dumbledore paused so he could read the parchment. His jaw dropped when he saw what was written down on it. His jaw moved up and down several times as small noices came out of his mouth. "I..." Dumbledore tried to speak but discovered he was still a little too shocked to do so. After a minute he was eventually able to speak. "the Hogwarts champion is...it's Jet."

"What?!" Harry blurted out, he looked around and saw Jet slithering towards the side chamber. "Jet!"

"Eternal Glory is mine bitches!" Jet shouted.

A.N: Hi guys, hope you liked the chapter. I just want to quickly say a few things before you guys say anything.

Number the one: Yes, I'm still doing the 'Number the...' thing.

Number the two: I didn't go into too much detail with Harry and Angela's first time because that wasn't what I wanted to focus on, it happened and it'll happen again in the future but I'm not going to start writing pages worth of what those two do together.

Number the three: Yes, Harry has been entered into the tournament, I was tempted to just not enter him but I already have things planned and a lot of those things will need Harry to be in the tournament.

Number the four: No, Barty Crouch jr did not enter Harry into the tournament, neither did Peter Pettigrew because he's in jail or Dumbledore because he's not completly evil in this story (unless i somehow got my stories mixed up). In this story Barty was never able to capture Moody in the first place because he never escaped at the world cup.

Number the five: Also above I put up an omake, I'm not going to put many in this story because I've put a lot in my 'Reborn' story and now I pretty much have to put more every chapter. So every few chapters or so I may or may not put another omake. I just put the one above up because I was bored and really wanted to.

Number the six : Apparently the barbers are all closed because of coivd so I had to get a haircut at my house and am less than pleased with the results, I feel like I look like I'm one step away from getting prison tattoos. I realise this has nothing to do with the story but I just wanted to complain.

Thanks for reading, feel free to leave a review.
