Chapter 86 - The Raging Tornado

Su Wen looked at Young Master K's gentle, refined face. Though reluctant, he finally let go of his worries and chose to trust his wife this time.

He took a deep breath, lifted his chin, and said proudly,

"Those insects are committing such evil down there. We'll destroy their hidden haven and force them into the open."

Young Master K glanced at him, eyes shining with both curiosity and excitement.

"Are we really going to do that…?"

Su Wen nodded, placing his hands behind his back. He paced slowly around the room, scanning the mansion as if contemplating the future of justice itself, before speaking in a righteous tone,

"Yes… you heard me right…"

He stopped, looked directly into Young Master K's eyes, and said firmly,

"We will level their nest. Once they lose their shelter… the insects will have nowhere left to hide."

Du Yue felt her blood heat up at his commanding tone, like a spark igniting deep within her heart. Her breathing hitched slightly, excitement spreading through her body as she unconsciously straightened her posture.

To her, his words were no longer just a decision… they felt like a Divine Oracle she could not, and would not, refuse.

Since she was still disguised as Young Master K, she did not draw the White Snow Blade, instead, she reached into their spoils and drew out a Grade 3 sword, its surface faintly shimmering with restrained power.

Young Master K nodded toward Su Wen, as if fully understanding his intent.

Like the protagonist of a novel stepping into a destined scene, he raised his right arm and pointed it toward the sky.

A sharp burst of sword qi shot out, blasting a clean hole straight through the ceiling.

Su Wen stared at her in confusion.

'No… Wait! What did you understand…?'

He wanted to speak, but it was already too late.

Young Master K flew upward through the opening, rising more than a hundred metres into the air. From above, he looked down upon the manor like a Heavenly Emperor preparing to pass divine judgement.

The sword in his hand trembled softly, its metal gradually transforming into pure moon-white light.

A tyrannical Grade 3 Sword Intent wrapped around the blade, making the air itself feel heavy and oppressive, sending chills through everyone below. Yet he deliberately avoided using his Snow Intent, leaving behind no trace that could link him to Du Yue.

In the reception room, Su Wen continued to stare upward with bewildered eyes. Deep in the underground chamber, Mo Xuan suddenly opened his eyes.

Though separated by distance and walls, both of them shared the exact same thought at that moment…

"Why do I suddenly feel like something bad is about to happen…?"

High in the sky, Young Master K held the sword with both hands and released his Early Golden Core cultivation.

A vast pressure descended like the calm before a storm.

The air itself seemed to freeze. Clouds above trembled, spirit qi in the surroundings began to churn violently, and even the light dimmed slightly, as if the heavens were holding their breath.

Then… He spun on his right foot.

In that instant, sword qi burst outward like a released tide. Streams of moon-white light shot around him, spiralling and intertwining as they gradually formed a vast tornado of sword qi.

The wind howled as the rotation accelerated, heavy and pressuring. Even the surrounding spirit qi was drawn in, slowly feeding the growing storm.

Each strand of sword qi was sharp and precise, and when gathered together, they formed a destruction that was both orderly and terrifying… cold, beautiful, and unforgiving.

Young Master K stood calmly at the centre of it all, robes and hair swaying in the fierce winds, his figure steady and composed, like a silent executor of judgement.

Wherever the sword qi passed, stone, wood, and formations alike were reduced to fine, snow-like dust.

Walls vanished. Pillars collapsed. Defensive arrays shattered like fragile glass.

The City Lord's manor, once majestic and imposing, was torn apart layer by layer under the merciless rotation of the sword qi tornado.

Cultivators throughout the city were instantly alarmed. They stopped whatever they were doing and looked toward the City Lord's manor in shock.

"What terrifying sword intent…"

"Is that a Golden Core cultivator…?"

"No… this pressure… it's not an ordinary Golden Core!"

"Who in the world dared to attack the City Lord's manor?!"

The sword qi tornado expanded further, slowly swallowing the entire area where Su Wen stood.

Servants, guards, and unrelated bystanders… including Su Wen… were all drawn into it.

Yet strangely, not a single person was harmed.

The sword qi avoided their bodies with uncanny precision, only shredding their clothes and tossing them around like helpless leaves in a storm.

Their screams echoed, mixed with terror, confusion, and disbelief.

As the raging tornado advanced, it finally dragged Su Wen fully into its core.

At that moment, only one emotion remained on his face… regret.

'Why… why did I trust her…?

Why did I think she'd interpret my words the normal way…?'

He cried inwardly,

'My dumb wife… I only meant to destroy the underground chamber… not turn the entire mansion to dust…!

This is what I get for not explaining properly to my dumb wife…'

After a brief moment of despair, he let out a helpless sigh in his heart as he was carried away by the tornado.

'…Well… I suppose this works too.'

Within only a few breaths, the grand City Lord's manor… once proud, majestic, and unshakable… was reduced to nothing but a vast, silent field of white dust.

The dust drifted gently through the air like falling snow, covering broken foundations, shattered formations, and the invisible remnants of what had once been a symbol of authority.

Not a single intact wall remained and not a single trace of its former grandeur could be seen.

Only silence.

And slowly settling dust.

The entire mansion had vanished from existence. Yet the servants and guards lay on the rubble, unharmed but frozen in stunned silence, as if their very souls had been sucked out.

Young Master K slowly descended from the air, eyes scanning the scene.

'Where did my husband go?' he wondered.

Beneath the rubble, Su Wen struggled and finally managed to lift his right arm from the debris. Young Master K immediately spotted it, hurried over, and calmly pulled him free.

"Why are you hiding down there…?" he asked, voice steady.

As Su Wen emerged from the dust and rubble, he glanced at Young Master K flatly, opening his mouth to speak but thinking better of it.

He turned toward the unfortunate souls who had been caught in the tornado, now lying scattered on the ground, and spoke with commanding authority,

"Leave. Now. If you value your lives."

The people on the ground jumped up as if some invisible switch had been triggered, and immediately fleeing like terrified lambs. Not a single one dared linger for even a second.

The manor's destruction had shocked them beyond belief, leaving only one thought in their minds: Escape.
