"Finally, we've arrived," Zylus said, stretching his arms.
"Yep!" Frey rejoiced, "So I'm on the building on the right, while you are on the one to the left. Anyways, see you later." She finished, walking towards her own separate direction.
Each building was only two stories high, with a clear stairwell that separated the first and second floor, made with smooth stone, and glass windows went all around it. On some windows, the curtains were closed, on others, they were completely open. But being as it is only two stories, it was cramped all together, just like multiple townhouses.
"Guess it's time for me to enter," Zylus said, walking towards the metal stairwell.
As he finally got to his door, he checked the back of his key card, 'Second Floor: Room 12.' That's the information it held on, to guide him to where he would be staying for the entirety of the cadet program.
"And, here." He said, pulling out the key card from his pocket.
Cling!
"Verified! Welcome, Zylus Elwis!" That voice came directly from the doorknob, but Zylus was already used to this back at his house, so he held a calm expression.
As the door slowly opened, he heard somebody humming a lullaby; the sink was left on.
The hum was beautiful, like straight out of a chorus. It was already getting late outside, so Zylus simply wanted to take a rest.
"Welcome! Good seeing you again! Customer…" Zylus received a warm welcome from his roommate, but he could've sworn he had just seen him.
Zylus closed the door behind him. The voice sounded familiar. Back in his home, he was taught manners and respect, so just like anybody would, he took off his shoes before entering, on a nice, laid out blue mat right in front of the entrance.
The sink continued to pour, and the sound grew heavier as Zylus began walking forward.
"Just washing dishes, you can have a seat." Zylus's roommate calmly said.
"I swear, I know it, I just saw you." Zylus declared, "Your name, what was it?"
"Jace," He smiled, "It's Jace Caelivandor." He finished, calmly grinning.
"You were the same street vendor who served me food earlier. How did you-" Zylus paused before continuing, "You know what, keep your explanation, that food earlier gave you a pass this time." He smiled, going to sit down on a couch placed directly in front of the kitchen.
"I'm glad," Jace whispered.
Zylus decided it was best for him not pry into any matters; he was already too tired to begin a declaration of war with his roommate anyway.
In this apartment, there were two beds, one on the right, the other on the left. One couch had been placed just in front of a kitchen table. And of course, one washroom that was to the very right of their room. Furniture wasn't too bad here, especially when you have someone like Jace, who knows how to cook.
"So which bed is mine?" Zylus asked.
"Pick any," Jace responded.
"The right one." Zylus declared.
"Alright, so you get the left one, and I'll get the one to the right," Jace announced, soap dripped deeper into the sink.
"Then what was the point in my decision?" Zylus's nerve struck.
"I love playing tricks on people." He smiled back, closing off the sink.
Zylus didn't care much, so he allowed Jace to do what he wanted.
"Anyways, set an alarm at seven AM on your system, so you can wake up and take a shower before going back to the course. Tomorrow's Friday, so the weekend is about to begin, and we can finally catch a break. And the next week after that, Christmas break begins." Jace said, walking up to his bed, as he jumped into it. "Finally, rest."
"So they treat it like a high school, interesting." Zylus curiously whispered. "Wait, did you just say Christmas break?" He asked.
"You know, the time when snow begins to appear in the Demon Realm, that type of Christmas. It's the holiday demanded from the Spirit Realm. I honestly love it." Jace mumbled under his pillow.
Christmas? Interesting, my favorite time of the year, but weird how these guys celebrate it. But what would I even do in the meantime, not like I have any plans or anything.
"Lights," Jace said out loud, "Turn off." And suddenly, each light that glowed above came to a dark close.
Zylus now lay down on his bed, calmly putting one hand under his pillow as he looked towards the white roof.
"You say," Zylus said out loud, "Do any dungeons exist in this realm? You know, those things you would normally see in fantasy literature," He asked.
No reply, complete silence.
"I asked a question," Zylus said angrily.
But as he looked to his right, it was Jace sleeping soundly. His snores were too light to hear, completely unlike Zylus.
"Whatever, I'ma go to sleep now." He said, pulling out his system.

"Worst case scenario, Jake wakes me up," Zylus whispered, as his system began to slowly vanish.

Zylus grinned, "Dungeons? I guess that answered my question from earlier." He nervously said. "But this as a punishment? I'm going to have to ask around more on how dungeons are." He whispered, his eyes slowly vanished into darkness.
Both Jace and Zylus fell into a deep sleep, but one of them stayed awake, listening to every bit Zylus had been talking about. And it was none other than Jace, who had wondered what that interaction between Zylus and his system was. Because in this world, there were no such things as 'Dungeons.'
