Gohan wanted to go to the Underworld with Vegeta.
Vegeta didn't need to guess what was in his heart.
But whether to take him was another matter.
The Underworld of this timeline was still unknown territory. Even though Vegeta had been to the Other World in his own timeline, this was different. He didn't know what variables might exist here.
"I know what you're thinking," Vegeta said calmly. "But you're not coming this time. I'll go first and confirm the situation. After that, I can take you."
Gohan's eyes trembled slightly, but he nodded. "Yes, Uncle Vegeta. Thank you."
That was enough hope for now.
A Subtle Change
After Gohan and Trunks left, the atmosphere between Vegeta and Bulma shifted.
"Those two really understand everything," Bulma said awkwardly.
"They're not children anymore," Vegeta replied. "Gohan must be twenty-six or twenty-seven by now."
"I'm already fifty-one," Bulma sighed quietly.
"Age isn't important," Vegeta said. "Have you noticed something different about yourself?"
Bulma froze and instinctively touched her face.
Before Vegeta's arrival, exhaustion and years of hardship had aged her greatly. But in the past few days, she had clearly grown younger.
At least ten years younger.
Even more astonishing, something that had stopped long ago had returned that morning.
Her cheeks flushed red.
"It's because of me," Vegeta said directly. "More precisely, because of Porunga."
He explained the wish he had made in his own timeline and how its effects were linked to him across time and space.
Bulma listened in stunned silence.
"So… the reason I've become younger… is because of that wish?" she asked.
"Yes."
Bulma didn't know whether to feel shocked or grateful.
Immortality. Eternal youth.
Every woman dreamed of it.
But it also complicated her emotions.
Before she could process further, Vegeta suddenly stepped forward and lifted her.
"W-What are you doing?!" Bulma exclaimed.
"What do you think?" Vegeta replied bluntly. "What husband and wife are supposed to do."
Her face turned crimson. "I… I'm on my period."
Vegeta paused.
"Oh."
Training Begins Again
Outside, Gohan and Trunks headed to the Gravity Training Room.
"So this is where you've been training," Gohan said thoughtfully.
He suddenly remembered how Goku had grown stronger through gravity training before the battle on Namek.
Over the years, his own training had been too narrow.
He regretted it.
If he had pushed further back then, maybe Android 17 and Android 18 would have been eliminated long ago.
"Brother Gohan, do you want to try?" Trunks asked. "It can go up to 1000 times gravity."
Gohan smiled. "And stop calling me Master. Just call me Brother."
They began training under 100 times gravity.
Even Gohan felt heavily restricted at first.
"No wonder you improved so quickly," he said. "If we adapt to 1000 times gravity, even if we can't match Uncle Vegeta, we'll grow much stronger."
The two began sparring under intense gravity.
A new path had opened before them.
Departure
The next morning, after breakfast, Vegeta gave them further guidance.
He taught them how to gradually adapt to higher gravity.
He even shared a preliminary mental training method.
Gohan combined it with Piccolo's meditation technique and found the effect doubled.
After finishing his instructions, Vegeta looked at Bulma one last time.
Then—
He used Instant Transmission.
North Kai's Planet — The Underworld
On King Kai's planet, several figures stood together.
King Kai.
Bubbles.
Gregory.
Krillin.
Yamcha.
Tien Shinhan.
Chiaotzu.
And Son Goku.
King Kai had just informed them of Earth's salvation.
"So Future Bulma succeeded," Krillin said.
"And Vegeta crossed time?" Yamcha added.
"They say he's reached Super Saiyan 2," Tien Shinhan said seriously.
They all looked toward Goku.
Goku smiled faintly. "That Vegeta is really strong. To reach that level twenty years earlier… something must have changed drastically."
He himself had reached Super Saiyan 2 only after ten years of training in the Other World.
"So between you and him, who's stronger?" Krillin asked.
Goku scratched his head and laughed. "Hard to say without fighting."
King Kai sighed. "The reason I told you all this is so you can finally let go. Earth has been saved."
The weight in their hearts finally eased.
But King Kai couldn't shake his unease.
The timeline had changed.
Fundamentally.
Suddenly, Goku's expression shifted.
He turned toward empty space ahead.
The air rippled.
In an instant, a figure appeared.
Vegeta.
He had crossed the boundary between life and death as a living being.
Everyone's faces froze.
King Kai nearly broke into a cold sweat.
Even he hadn't expected this.
"Vegeta!" Goku called out with a grin.
He had been waiting.
Ever since sensing Vegeta's aura from afar, he knew this meeting was inevitable.
"As expected, you're all here," Vegeta said calmly, scanning the group.
His gaze passed over Krillin, Yamcha, Tien Shinhan, Chiaotzu.
Finally—
It stopped on Goku.
Kakarot of this timeline.
The air between them tightened.
Two Super Saiyan 2 warriors.
One from the past.
One who had trained in death for years.
Both smiling.
Both ready.
The reunion of rivals had finally begun.
