Riley's jaws dropped when she was him. She had no word except the stares she gave. A few hours ago, mr. Blackwood was in the terrible situation. It was not like she wished for him to get better soon but this swift recovery of him surprised her.
The men in the room stopped talking when they noticed her presence. Alistair's eyes widened in shock. He didn't move or say a word for some second. His eyes meant with hers briefly and she could see the expression on his face. It was clear that he was not expecting her to show like this. Didn't Mr Titus told him that she was coming to come back?
Riley was curious to know what happened so quickly in her absence that made him so strong. If there was then mr. blackwood would not have employed her. It was a waste of time and resource.
Before she could a say, Mr Blackwood rushed upstairs without saying why. Riley's brows furrowed in confusion as to what could be going on.
