Kaldric POV.
It all happened in a flash.
One moment Alvira was coming to me, and the next she was stabbed.
Right before my eyes, a knife was driven into her belly.
And before I could think, before my mind could even process what was happening, I lunged towards the woman that had stabbed her and flung her away with so much strength that her body hit the wall.
Alvira looked down at the knife still inside her, her eyes widened in fear and her hands trembled as she pulled it out of her body her and fell to the ground.
"Alvira!" I caught her before she could land on the floor.
She gasped for air and a tear slide down her eyes "Kald… I don't want to die."
For some reason her terrified voice shook me to the core.
It made my heart ache in ways I couldn't even explain, but it also woke me up.
"Call the healer." I shouted.
Something wasn't right.
Why isn't she healing?
