First light of morning crept into cave slipping between the vines that covered the entrance
Victor stirred, his back aching from the rough stone floor
Every muscle in his body felt heavy and sour as if he had fought all night
his throat was dry and head heavy
The heat that turned through him all night, was gone, replaced by a dull, dragging tiredness
he barely remembered when he had fallen asleep
Sleep that came after hours of pacing, growling, pressing his forehead in the cool group trying to cool himself down
He sat up stretching his arms, u till his joints cracked
The cave smell of damp stone and dust
But it was quiet now, no scent pulling at him, no restless energy, just stillness
Hunger hit him first
his stomach growled loudly
He stepped outside into daylight, squinting against the sun, went to find water in nearby stream. He drunk cold water clearing his head
rest of the day passed slowly
He didn't hunt right away -his body was too worn out for that
Instead he found, shaded spot under a large tree and lay down and let the hours drift by, he listened to the sound of forest
By late after noon he felt a little stronger, he caught a small rabbit before sunset, ate quickly and returned to the cave before night fall
Now this cave was his shelter for few days untill he can find prets nearby and don't get noticed by other large predators
