Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

I clearly remembered the weird novel that me and my sister placed a bet on when I was 17. Our bet was to read as many books as we can for one whole year and to see who can read the most in one year. This world was a world of novel, very classic genre to begin with in fantasy stories. And now it was confirmed that it was transmigration.

During the bet I read around 128 book, this world is based on a book named "Rising from the downfall". It was cool fantasy story with a boy from the modern world being transmigrated into a novel he liked very much and was totally invested into. The boy was transmigrated as the side villans little brother. The concept was alluring to me so I didn't just read the novel for formality to count as one on my read list but, to enjoy it. It was a pretty good revenge kind of fantasy story with little but good amount of romance in it and magic and sword aura stuff.

The novel never mentioned a character named Eliezer and even if it did so, then he was not important because I don't remember him. I may have read the novel a while ago but, I have always had quite a good memory so I remembered all the characters from the novels that I liked very much. Even tho, the surname Yvaine was something I was very familiar with. It was the surname of the main character of the novel the boy in the novel read who also became the boy's close comrade during his journey.

In the novel the boy's comrade was the only one alongside his younger sister to be mentioned from the Yvaine family. The Yvaine family was the ducal family the looked over the North in the kingdom of Orpalsera.

'If I am really in that novel then their is a far worst thing to worry about- wait did my vision turn black again?'

Snapping back to reality I realised that I was back to the room, awake and sweating profusely. I slowly sat straight on the bed and looked around myself again. And oh how I wish I won't have to see this room again, but what can I really do? Before I could again wrap myself in the blankets I heard a knock on my door.

KNOCK KNOCK

"It's me young master" It was the voice of the doctor.

"You may come in."

Click

With a small click of the door, the doctor entered the room with a tray in hand.

"How are you feeling right now?" He asked.

"Alright" I replied shortly.

"Any progress with your memories?"

"It seems so, I kind of now remember most of the things even then some are a blurry mess." I now recognised the places and the people. It now started to feel familiar to me.

The doctor eyes me suspicious before moving on.

"That's great then, I won't have to introduce myself again." The green head said taking a seat as he pulled the chair from the study table, close to my bed.

This green head in front of me was Felix Laurent. He was the head physician of the Yvaine Estate. He was an exceptionally talented young man who was a mage despite being a healer. From the memories he was a brother figure to Eliezer. But he wasn't a character from the novel either, or just wasn't mentioned.

'Chances are that he died before the novel started. The same goes for this boy Eliezer.' Eliezer thought.

"What's up with the tray?" Eliezer asked Felix.

"Oh, this? It's for you." He replied with a polite smile.

"Really? Thanks." Eliezer said as he extended his hands to take the tray of food from Felix's hand.

Before he could take it Felix retreated the tray from his reach and said," Maybe you should take a shower before that."

'Maybe I should.' Eliezer thought thinking for how many days he would have been unconscious.

"Alright, but what if the food gets cold? After all it's quite cold in here." Eliezer asked.

"Do you need me to heat up the room a bit? Or should I bring you warmer clothes?" The doctor asked in a very worried tone.

"No, no thanks I will just wear an extra layer of clothes after bathing." Eliezer said as he got out from his bed.

"Seems like you don't remember but I can make flames with my hands so don't worry about the food and the temperature being too low, and take your time. And I don't know if you regained your memories on that topic or not but don't take of those gloves. We can have a talk later after you come out. You probably still have a lot of questions to ask, I will try my best to answer them for you." Felix said as he waved his hands towards him.

Eliezer just nodded his head.

After that Eliezer quickly changed to his robes and went to the bathroom that was attached to his room. There he saw that clothes were prepared for him already and the water are also prepared not too hot and not too cold just the right temperature.

The bathroom was quite big. With white marbled floor and a small pool like area for bathing. It was quite spacious which was a very good thing.

'Is this seriously for a single person?' Eliezer thought as he looked around.

There were two mirrors one on the side and one by the basin. After bathing and drying himself off he went to the mirror to see himself. During the night, it wasn't that clear but, see himself again in bright light gave him a good look at his face. He was more beautiful than any average person that was for sure and his black hair that has a white lock of hair at the front made him peculiar. His eyes were crystal blue. The eyes were pretty but very eerie to look at since if you don't pay much attention they looked like eyes of someone who is blind. Speaking of his eyes, he realised that only one of his eyes were like that, and the other one was just a beautiful crystal blue colour.

"This boy seemed to have really really rare genetics."

'Having rare genetics was something you don't see often but, you do see it sometimes. That's why the thing that still bothered me was the weird... pattern?... symbol?...scar?

I don't really know what it is but, what is this weird symbol that was spread across my back like a tree's roots?'
