That night, as the four sat, Nobaya arrived with their rations. They were all examining the transformation of their katanas, noting the distinct changes in each blade.

"You all performed exceptionally today," Nobaya said. "You have awakened the powers within you. From this journey onward, this sword will be your protector."

"But... how did this happen to us, and why not to others?" Jinso inquired.

"That... there must be something unique about you. You must discover for yourselves why this power chose you."

Jinso looked down at his hand, where the scar from the burning incident still remained.

"The powers held within these blades are diverse. They are four aspects of the VESHTRA forces. These swords have now become weapons attuned to those specific powers."

Nobaya approached each disciple, starting with Izuma.

"This is the Shadokiri Sword," Nobaya explained.

"Shadokiri?" Jinso asked.

"Yes. This sword harnesses the power of Shadow Wind. When you wield it, the force that emanates is in the form of wind. It is known as Shadow Wind."

Next, he picked up Sai's sword.

"This is Kuruvan; the sword that wields the power of Nether Ice."

Then he moved to Haru.

"This is the Soulrend Edge Sword, it projects Eclipse Ether power."

Finally, he approached Jinso.

"And this, is Morikara; it projects the power of Abyss Flame."

Everyone exchanged astonished glances after hearing Nobaya's words.

"Water, Wind, Aether/Eclipse, and Fire form the basis of these powers. They sought you out based on your individual characteristics, temperaments, and life experiences.

Izuma, the reason Shadokiri chose you is your knowledge and your calmness. Only a person who is perfectly serene and determined can wield this sword effectively.

Using this, you can destroy the soul of a Zek. You can even counter attacks from a hidden Zek. Once struck by the Shadokiri's force, no Zek can hide and attack again. You can use the speed of the wind to attack and evade."

"Really... Izuma... you're lucky! Go kill them all!" Sai exclaimed.

Izuma touched the hilt of his sword gently. At that moment, something silver shimmered within the blade.

Next, he picked up Haru's sword.

"This is the Soulrend Edge Sword, a sword containing the power of pure White Spirit Wind.

Though it might sound related to Izuma's sword, it is entirely different. This sword has the ability to cut through an object to strike the Zek within.

The specialty of this blade is that it was born between birth and death. Its energy does not rely on shadow or light; its power is fueled by the souls of the deceased Zek.

Haru, your eligibility for this sword stems from your conduct and the way you treat others."

Next, he took Sai's sword.

"This is the Kuruvan Sword. Nether Ice, or the power of frozen water. Sai, this sword is not entirely tranquil; it is like you half aggressive, half subdued. The one who wields this sword will be a charming individual; its function will mirror its user. This sword operates through the power of water, Sai... you are lucky," Nobaya smiled.

"Oh my god... this..." Sai mumbled to himself, stroking the blade.

Next, Nobaya approached Jinso, but he did not pick up the sword.

"The Morikara Sword," Nobaya said gravely.

"This sword must be handled with utmost caution, Jinso. You are truly lucky. This is the feared and powerful sword of Fire."

Hearing this, everyone looked at Jinso.

"This power must have chosen you because you conquered your fear.

If this sword is not handled properly, it can even result in death.

Abyss Flame is its power the black fire. A fire that can permanently incinerate a Zek's soul. Once this fire touches a Zek's cursed soul, it is gone forever."

Jinso stared at the powerful sword.

"None of you truly understand your power yet," Nobaya said, looking at them intently. "The strength residing in these swords originated from within you. You must control it, and that will only come through practice."
