(Chapter unfolds:27)
While on one side, Shapta had sent his follower to kill the two intruders, something else was unfolding here.
Ray was still inside the cave, sitting in the darkness and observing the transformations taking place within him. Suddenly, a dark smoke began to billow into the room, swirling around him in fluid motions.
Ray noticed it, but he didn't understand what it was. He looked around cautiously.
Suddenly, a voice whispered directly into his ear:
"Ray... while you sit here brooding over the past, your fate is coming for you from behind."
Hearing this, Ray scanned the surroundings.
"Who are you...?" Ray asked. Fear was no longer a part of him.
"You have forgotten the Master who gave you this new life."
Upon hearing those words, Ray stood still for a moment.
"Master!!!!!"
He immediately lowered his head in respect.
"Fate... it has always been with me, Master..."
"But you are mistaken there, Ray... I am the one who decides your fate here."
"What must I do, Master?" Ray asked.
"Your old world is not ready to let you go, Ray. Two people are coming for you, traveling along the stone-paved path of the foothills."
"Who are they...?" Ray asked with rising anger.
"Names are irrelevant. They are merely your enemies. Those who cannot understand you, those who fear this new life of yours. They are coming to destroy the very life you have gained, Ray!!"
The mark on Ray's neck began to glow intensely.
"Why do they hold such a grudge against me? No one should be allowed to take away my power!"
Shapta moved closer and stood beside him.
"People hate those who have done no wrong, Ray... just like your parents did.
This is the inherent treachery of humans. Those who pretend to love are the greatest enemies. Just like what your mother did to you.
You must face them.
Either you become their prey, or they must become yours!"
Ray violently threw the necklace he was holding onto the ground.
"There is only one answer for those who stand as obstacles in my path: Death."
Hearing this, Shapta began to vanish into the darkness. As he disappeared, a sinister smile played across the face of that evil entity.
"The blue color in your eyes... it looks even more beautiful now. Go, and kill your enemies."
