Looking at his stats, Thoren was pleased. In less than half an hour, he leveled up.

Walking ahead of him were his orderly skeletons. There were five Feral Rabbit Skeletons, and behind him was the Human Skeleton.

[Human Skeleton]

Level: 1 (50/300)

[Attribute: Strength 7, Constitution 4, Agility 2]

[Trait: None]

It was not only that he grew stronger; even his Human Skeleton had grown stronger.

"Before returning to town to rest, I should level up once again," he mused, a determination flashing across his face.

With his army of skeletons, he did not believe he couldn't achieve that. Just as he was planning how to level up quickly, the tree before them gradually shrank.

In his view stood a small lake, surrounded by thick green bushes. Everywhere was cool, with a gentle breeze rustling the leaves.

Among the thick green bushes, his eyes fell on a bluish flower pulsating with pure mana.

"That must be a rare flower." His eyes glowed with excitement.

If he could pluck the flower, he could earn a lot of money. Quickly, he commanded the Feral Rabbit Skeletons to move toward it.

Whoosh!

From the thick green bushes, a massive serpent rushed out to attack a Feral Rabbit Skeleton.

Bang!

Its neck broke into pieces, and it stopped moving. Instantly, Thoren felt a loss of connection with the skeleton, but he did not think too much about it.

His eyes locked on the massive serpent.

[Venomfang Serpent]

[Level: 3]

[Attribute: Strength 8, Constitution 7, Agility 9]

[Trait: Venomous Bite – injects toxin that deals damage over time]

"Huh! A level 3 beast." He widened his eyes in surprise.

He never expected he would reach a Level 3 beast area so quickly. He had been so focused on leveling up that he missed the signs.

However, instead of getting scared, a faint anticipatory smile crept across his face.

"I guess I'll use you to tell my new army."

While he was planning, the Venomfang Serpent had already started attacking the Feral Rabbit Skeletons, but he did not care.

[Undead Summoning]

Five more Feral Rabbit Skeletons appeared before him.

With more skeletons, Thoren pointed at the Venomfang Serpent.

"Kill!"

Instantly, all the Feral Rabbit Skeletons pounced on the Venomfang Serpent from all sides.

Bang! Bang!

The Venomfang Serpent was powerful with deadly poison, but it was against undead skeletons.

It was like a beast in a cage.

The Feral Rabbit Skeletons tore and bit it from all parts.

Hiss! Hiss!

It struggled, spitting its poison continuously, but it was futile.

Just as Thoren thought the battle was over, five more Venomfang Serpents came out of the bushes.

Quickly, the skeletons began to fall one after the other under the onslaught of the five Venomfang Serpents.

Thoren was not afraid. He summoned more skeletons.

This time around, it was a different skeleton.

[Scavenger Rat Skeleton]

[Level: 2]

[Attribute: Strength 6, Constitution 6, Agility 6]

With twenty Level 2 Rat Skeletons, the Venomfang Serpents began to fall one after the other.

Skeletons were fearless and tireless.

The Venomfang Serpent tried to use its poison, but it was all useless.

Three minutes later, all the Venomfang Serpents were killed.

[+75 EXP]

[+75 EXP]

[ Experience Gained +450]

[Summoned Entity: Experience +225]

[Spirit +0.36 + 24 Copper Coins]

Looking at the notification, Thoren smiled and walked forward with the Human Skeleton walking behind him.

"I knew it! Killing above one's level is way faster than killing beasts of the same level." He muttered, affirming his determination to move to zones with more powerful beasts.

Looking at the dead Venomfang Serpent, he could harvest their important parts and sell them in town, but that would make him a Level 3 summon.

"I don't need to think about it. Increasing my army is the right way."

Although he needed a lot of money to pay back his family debt, he had to do it the right way without losing his edge.

[Undead Summoning.]

"Huh!" A sharp gasp escaped his lips as he turned the six Venomfang Serpents into undead summons.

He could feel a toil in his spirit, but it was nothing. He bore the slight headache and looked at the newly created undead army.

[Bone Manipulating Skill]

Their scales fell off, leaving only their skeletons. Staring at them, he nodded, pleased with their addition.

With many Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 skeletons, his confidence increased.

"Now, I'm no longer weak."

Whoosh!

He withdrew most of his summons, storing them in his Undead Space, leaving only a few Feral Rabbit Skeletons.

With the Venomfang Serpents killed, Thoren strode confidently toward the bluish flower beside the small lake.

Arriving near the bluish flower, he found there were more bluish flowers in the area. His eyes lit up, and he uprooted the first flower, keeping it in his inventory.

Just as he prepared to continue harvesting, footsteps came from behind. Turning his head, he saw five people staring at him.

"Are those skeletons?" the young man leading the group pointed at the skeletons.

"Wow! Harold, he must be a necromancer," Cyril responded with wide eyes, staring at Thoren.

Beside him, the three were also looking at Thoren like a rare specimen. While they looked at Thoren, he looked at them as well.

From their gear, he could tell their leader, Harold, must be a Vanguard, while Cyril appeared to be a Warrior.

Among the remaining three, two were boys wearing the same gear; they were Hunters, while the only girl seemed to be a Healer.

Although he was not sure if his deductions were accurate, he knew he couldn't be far off.

Unless he learned an Appraisal Skill, he wouldn't be able to detect other people's occupations and levels.

However, he was not too worried. With his current small army, he did not fear anyone below level 5.

And looking at them, none of them had reached level 5 yet.

Losing interest, he prepared to turn and continue his harvest when Harold shouted.

"Stop right there!" Harold's voice cut through the quiet like a blade. "That's our flower field, bone freak. Leave before we make you."

A deep frown appeared on Thoren's face. This was the Abyss; anyone could claim anything for themselves as long as they discovered it first.

But now…

He turned. "I found this place first, and it belongs to me. Go and find another resource point."

"And if we don't? What would you do?" Harold stepped forward, his tone condescending.

He was alone, while they were five. Besides, he was nothing but a necromancer.

Although they did not know how he managed to have more than two undead servants, they did not think too much about it.

This resource point must belong to them.
