Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – Receiving the Airdrop, Black-Robe Exclusive

In the sky, two streaks of light, one blue and one purple, collided continuously. Each collision sent out thunderous booms that shook the surrounding mountains. Although they fought high above, the impact of a human and a lion engaged in battle caused massive damage to the forests and mountains below.

The sheer noise of their fight also disturbed many beasts from their slumber. Previously quiet mountain ranges now erupted with a chorus of strange and terrifying roars.

Lei Qi watched the battle between the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King and Yun Yun, gradually forming an understanding of Yun Yun's strength.

She was weak—very weak. Both Yun Yun and the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King, judging by the current battle, were far from impressive.

Even though Yun Yun's cultivation level was a star higher than his own, compared to someone like Lei Qi, who wielded countless earth-tier Dou Techniques, she simply didn't measure up.

The fight lasted from noon until dusk, each side pushing toward a final decisive clash.

"Human woman, you have worn down what little patience I have left!" the Purple Crystal Winged Lion King roared, its voice resonating through the forest.

"Once the Lion King exchanges the Purple Spirit Stone with me, I will never disturb you again," Yun Yun said, her posture still calm and graceful despite fighting all afternoon. A greenish-blue wind swirled faintly around her, whispering softly.

It was clear—no matter the outcome of the battle, beauty must never be compromised.

"Then you shall remain here forever!"

With a roar, the Lion King began gathering immense energy, the purple light enveloping the area. After a brief moment of concentration, the vast purple glow compressed into a single deep violet beam, barely half a foot wide.

"Purple Crystal Seal!" The Lion King's deep growl echoed through the mountains as the purple light flashed.

"Rift Wind Spiral Dance!"

Space in front of Yun Yun rippled slightly. Dozens of gigantic, deep-blue wind blades, each over ten meters long, appeared out of nowhere, intertwining into a cylindrical spiral and charging forward at high speed.

Yun Yun had underestimated her opponent. Though this attack was powerful, it was still far weaker than the Lion King's ultimate technique.

"Boom!"

The purple beam clashed with the spinning wind blades. The blades quickly fell into a disadvantage, shattering violently, while the purple beam barely dimmed.

After destroying the wind blades, the beam, unstoppable and crushing, pierced through all of Yun Yun's defenses and struck her delicate body directly.

No sooner had the purple beam landed than the Lion King's massive body appeared before Yun Yun. Five sharp, purple spikes shot from its enormous claws, ruthlessly aiming at her.

"Wind Extreme: Falling Kill!"

As the giant claw was about to tear through the mysterious woman, her peculiar sword trembled, emitting a thin beam of deep light, no wider than a thumb, that shot out instantly.

"Crack!" The beam struck the Lion King's head, but it tilted its head just in time. The light struck the red spike atop its head, cutting through the toughest part of its body.

The broken spike caused the Lion King excruciating pain. With a furious roar, it slammed its claw, filled with overwhelming force, against Yun Yun's chest.

A metallic screech echoed sharply. Yun Yun spat a small mouthful of blood, her face turning pale. Her body twisted violently, her green wings flared, and she blinked out of existence at the edge of the horizon.

In reality, she had disappeared right above where Lei Qi and Zhang Yi were positioned.

When she noticed the two figures below, she hesitated for a moment, then dropped directly.

Electricity crackled around Lei Qi, and the next moment Yun Yun fell into his arms. Her body was soft and delicate like warm jade, smooth and gentle to the touch.

Zhang Yi hadn't expected to intervene, and Lei Qi hadn't reacted fast enough either—but fortunately, Yun Yun was unharmed.

The Lion King pursuing them saw Lei Qi and the poised Zhang Yi and was immediately shocked.

Without hesitation, it fled into the distance.

"Quite sensible," Lei Qi murmured, looking at Yun Yun in his arms. She was truly breathtaking—her ice-like skin, delicate bones, and exquisite features. Words like "ethereal beauty" seemed entirely appropriate. Most importantly, she radiated an aura of elegance and dignity.

However, Lei Qi quickly noticed five deep claw marks under her jade-like neck, blood soaking her clothing. Though unconscious, her brows were slightly furrowed, a faint expression of pain on her delicate face. The scene was heart-wrenching, yet strangely endearing. Seeing her harmed, Lei Qi immediately carried Yun Yun away.

They arrived at a mountain cave. Lei Qi instructed Zhang Yi, "Keep watch outside."

"Yes."

Zhang Yi ignored Lei Qi's act of picking up Yun Yun. After all, she was their master.

Inside the cave, Lei Qi placed Yun Yun on a large rock and began undoing her torn clothing. Just as he was about to treat her wounds, Yun Yun's eyes snapped open. Her icy, beautiful gaze glared at him, a mixture of coldness and indignation.

Lei Qi remained unfazed. He retrieved a pale blue metallic inner armor, its surface shimmering like flowing water, clearly not ordinary. Five deep claw marks were etched on it, blood seeping out.

"No wonder it wasn't torn—such high-quality inner armor, and it's surprisingly gentle." Lei Qi commented as he examined the broken armor, tossing it aside before carefully applying medicine to her wounds while she glared at him, embarrassed.

Yun Yun was flustered, her cheeks flushed.

Taking a deep breath, she slowly closed her eyes, her long eyelashes trembling slightly.

"Ah, Da Bai, I don't have clothing suitable for you right now. Here, wear this black robe for now," Lei Qi said, covering her snowy skin with the prepared garment.

"You… what did you just call me?!" Yun Yun's voice, usually melodious, sounded sharp and icy this time.

"Da Bai," Lei Qi repeated nonchalantly.

As he spoke, he applied medicinal powder to her wounds. The pain was inevitable, but it gradually subsided.

"You… hmm!" Yun Yun's soft voice carried a low moan, tinged with pain.

Soon, the discomfort faded, and a slightly surprised Yun Yun softly said, "Thank you~"
