⟐ Mysterious Phenomenon
An unexplainable occurrence that triggers humans to awaken magical abilities. Supernatural specialists have deduced that the Gates and the Outer Realm are connected to this phenomenon.
⟐ World
There are two types of worlds: The World Above and The World Below. The World Above is a higher-hierarchy universe that regards entities from lesser worlds as nothing but fiction, while the World Below is a shattered universe consumed by the Mysterious Phenomenon.
⟐ Living World
A world above that serves as the primary residence for humans. It contains all living organisms.
⟐ Shattered World
Commonly refers to the broken realm of A World Below. Failure to destroy them completely would lead to the formation of a Gateway.
⟐ The World Beyond
A hidden plane that exists on the outside, past the boundaries of both the World Above and the World Below. It is a realm of transcendent forces and ultimate mysteries, where the rules of reality are fluid and entities of unimaginable power dwell. Beings from this realm view entities from The World Above and The World Below as nothing but an unamusing story.
⟐ Outer Realm
An otherworldly plane existing within a higher dimension known as the center of the universe. It is interconnected with everything and nothing, allowing entities from both the World Above and the World Below to exist within.
⟐ Creatures of the Void
Commonly referred to as demons, these are the primary inhabitants of the Outer Realm, dwelling mostly within the shattered worlds of the World Below. Their existence is hollow and void of true life, driven only by instinct and malice. They consume everything in their path, spreading corruption and decay, and are drawn to the Living World through Gateways, seeking to expand the reach of the Void.

⟐ Awakened
Special individuals who have been influenced by the Mysterious Phenomenon, gaining supernatural abilities beyond ordinary humans.
⟐ Hunter
A licensed individual who has met the necessary requirements to confront and eliminate demonic creatures and enter Gates safely.
⟐ Gates
Portals that allow Hunters to enter the shattered worlds of the World Below within the Outer Realm.
⟐ Gateway
A phenomenon that occurs when the core of a shattered world is not fully destroyed, enabling entities from that world to cross into the Living World.
⟐ Attributes
Passive abilities that reflect the inherent traits and characteristics of an individual.
⟐ Mystery Arms
Magical items crafted using the cores of fallen demons, often imbued with unique powers.
⟐ Mystical Arcana
The manifestation of an Awakened's spirituality into magical abilities. There are two primary types: Transcendent Arcana, which enhances the individual's body and physical capabilities, and Hegemonic Arcana, which manipulates reality and stellar space.
⟐ Emanation
A flowing forth of divine energy or essence (aether).
⟐ Soul Crest
A distinctive symbol that embodies the essence of an Awakened, intimately connected to their powers, abilities, and destiny. Those who bear it gain superhuman physical prowess and can harness Emanation to elevate their status and grow even stronger.
The Soul Crest is represented by what is known as SYSTEM (体系), defined as 「非神而达天意之人」 – "A non-divine being who attains the will of Heaven." This System functions as the crest itself, expressed through various parameters that define the individual's capabilities. Physically, it manifests as a tattoo-like mark, unique to each person.
⟐ Soul Tier
A measure of power based on the rank of one's Soul Crest. There are seven souls tiers. Namely:
• Tier 0 (D)
• Tier 1 (CC)
• Tier 2 (C)
• Tier 3 (B)
• Tier 4 (A)
• Tier 5 (S)
• Tier 6 (SSR)
The quality of a Soul Crest is a crucial factor. In rare cases, an Awakened may manifest a Soul Crest of poor quality, making advancement painfully slow or in some cases, nearly impossible.
There are seven ranks for a Soul Crest Quality. They include:
• Lesser
• Greater
• Radiant
• Ascended
• Supreme
• Sacred
• Divine
Similarly, Creatures of the Void are ranked according to the quality of their Soul. Their rank determines both the difficulty for Hunters to confront them and the potential power that can be harvested from their cores or remnants.
• Wolves (0) – Low-level demons, typically weak and unorganized. They pose minimal threat individually but can be dangerous in large groups.
• Beasts (1) – Slightly stronger and more intelligent than Wolves. Often used as scouts or guardians in shattered worlds.
• Hellions (2) – Mid-tier demons capable of coordinated attacks. They often exhibit unusual abilities or traits.
• Nightmares (3) – High-level predators that strike fear into even experienced Hunters. Their abilities can warp the environment around them.
• Tyrants (4) – Extremely powerful entities, often leading lesser creatures. Killing one requires advanced strategy, rare equipment, or multiple Hunters.
• Disasters (5) – Cataclysmic beings whose mere presence can destabilize regions. They are few in number and legendary for the devastation they bring.
• Calamities (6) – Top-tier void entities, virtually unparalleled in strength. Their awakening often signals a world-altering threat.
⟐ Tier Advancement
Awakened progress through Soul Tiers by cultivating their Soul Crest, mastering their Mystical Arcana, and harnessing Emanation. Advancement is influenced by the inherent quality of the Soul Crest, achievements in battle, and the amount of Emanation absorbed.
