Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

Konoha, Year 46.War claws at the edges of the world, and the air always smells like steel and burnt earth.Outside the village walls, in a half-rotted shack barely standing against the wind, a boy muttered to himself.

"It's been over a year since I dropped into this world… and I still haven't done anything."Ayato sat on the cold floor, dirt smudged across his cheek and a fresh cut stinging under his eye."So where's the supposed perk? Other transmigrators get cheats. Me? Kirimine Ayato? Nothing. Not even a pity buff."He let out a tired breath. "I'm not greedy. Just… give me some kind of system."

The universe answered.

A digital chime stabbed into his skull.

[System Booting…][Myriad Quest Interface Successfully Linked][Main Quest Activated: Maintain World Stability][Side Quest Activated: Rise Above the Lowest Rank][Accept?]

"…Hah?"The voice wasn't mystical or ancient—clean, cold, like a UI window popping open in the dark.Ayato froze, blinking, then cracked a shaky grin."Seriously… it actually happened."

But the shock lingered a moment longer than the joy. It felt too sudden. Too sharp.

He cleared his throat mentally. 'Before I accept anything… shouldn't you explain what this whole Myriad Quest thing even is?'

[System Notice:]The Myriad Quest Interface dispatches the Host into multiple worlds to complete mission chains.Progression is tied to quest completion. After finishing the current world's chain, the Host will transfer to the next. This continues until the Ultimate Quest is triggered.Refusal or abandonment before completing the Ultimate Quest will result in Host Disposal.

Ayato's shoulders stiffened. "…W-wait, straight to murder? Isn't that a little harsh?"His scalp prickled as a chill crawled down his spine.

[Correction:]All exchanges are equivalent. The Host may refuse. If refused, all system data—including memories of the Interface—will be erased immediately.

"W-wait wait—don't! I was just complaining!" Ayato snapped upright.A cheat finally arrives and he loses it over sass? No way in hell.

The System continued without reacting.

[System Function Briefing:]• Reads local world data• Synthesizes basic Ninjutsu, Hidden Techniques, and Bloodline-linked Skills• Provides a Shop using Gold Coins• Grants Experience Points for Level-Ups

Ayato squinted. 'Special methods… meaning?'

[Examples:]Bloodline Limits. Secret Clan Skills. Combat Artifacts. If the Host meets the criteria, the System can synthesize, unlock, and upload the Skill directly.

"...Right. Got it. For now," Ayato muttered. "If I don't understand something later, I'll ask."

[Newbie Package Delivered. Please Check Inventory.]

A weight dropped into his mind—like an invisible satchel had been shoved into his hands.

[Reward Obtained:]• E-Rank Skill: Clone Technique (Active)• D-Rank Skill: Immobilization Technique (Active)• Explosive Tags ×10 (Consumable)• Taijutsu: Lion Combo (Active)• Chakra Processing Protocol (Passive)• EXP: +100 (Genin Tier)

Ayato exhaled slowly. "Okay… that's actually solid."

For the first time in a year, something flickered in his chest.Hope? No. Something more dangerous—determination.

"With this… I can finally survive here."He brushed dirt from his hands and pushed himself up."I won't stay the village's weakest loser forever. Those who kicked me down… enjoy it while it lasts."

In his past world, he was just a normal high-school kid from the Dragon Kingdom.A random accident threw him into the shinobi world—alone, parentless, and living in this decaying hut on the outskirts. He knew exactly what this world was: a battlefield painted with children's graves. If you're weak, you die. If you hesitate, you die harder.

He clenched his fists.

"To stop being cannon fodder… I need power. My own power."

Ayato opened the newly acquired scroll in his mind. The text unfolded like a game tutorial window.

Chakra:A hybrid energy produced by the fusion of physical stamina and mental focus, extracted from countless cells.

Simple. Direct. No mystical babble.

He shut his eyes and began the process.

But the world never makes things easy.Just when he tried to focus, noises rattled outside, the wind rattled the thin walls, and pain pulsed through his bruised limbs—like the world itself hated the idea of him rising.

Still… he kept going.
