Chapter 8 - From Stage to Reality

"So, where are we going now?" Louis asked when we were all seated on the bus.

"Leicester," I replied.

"How did your friend hunt go? I assume you didn't find any the first time," Liam laughed.

"You won't believe it, but you're wrong," Niall laughed, sitting across from me.

"What?" Liam was confused.

"Kelly. She's a nurse," I answered.

"You're full of surprises," Liam muttered. "So, Gabriella, tell us about yourself."

"Well, I'm twenty years old, and I'm from London. I have two brothers, Jay and Adam. I used to dance for five years, and that's about it," she recounted.

What was strangest was that Liam was looking directly into her eyes the entire time. I'd have to figure out what was happening here.

"Alright, I'm actually tired, so goodnight. And Gabi, can I call you Gabi?" I asked Gabriella.

"Of course," she replied.

"So, Gabi. You'll find your bed, or someone will show you..." Before I could finish, I was interrupted.

"I'll show her," Liam quickly said. Seriously, something was up with him.

"Well, there you go. He'll show you where to put all your things, etc. Anyway, goodnight," I waved to everyone sitting on the sofa, and they waved back.

After lying down, I took out my phone and quickly texted Beth.

L: "I think Liam likes Gabi!"

B: "I noticed too. He was watching her the whole time and didn't move an inch away."

L: "Are you thinking of the plan or am I?"

B: "Let me handle it this time."

L: "Ok, I'd like to know by tomorrow."

B: "It will be done ;D"

I turned off my phone, tucked it under my pillow, and settled in comfortably. Starting to think about everything that had happened, I fell asleep.

Morning

I woke up to loud voices echoing through the bus. I lazily climbed out of my bunk, trying not to bump my head on the ceiling. I jumped down since mine was on the top bunk. Slowly, still rubbing my eyes to see anything, I shuffled towards the noise and action.

"Do you have to make noise this early?" I asked in a groggy voice.

"It's past eleven, so you can get up now. We'll be arriving soon, as we stopped overnight," Beth snapped back.

"It's only eleven? Too early. I'm going to be severely angry with all of you. You're all turning into Louis," I lamented.

"Why? What did I miss?" Gabi asked.

"A lot," I muttered.

"Louis didn't keep a very important promise, and Harry did. Well, for now, so Luanna is furious with him," Beth explained.

"I will never understand her," Louis muttered.

"Don't worry, you still have time until I fire you, or you die, or you stop performing," I replied to him.

"Enough," Harry interjected. "Go get ready. We've just entered the city, and we're planning to go sightseeing or shopping."

"I don't understand you either; why can't we just do nothing?" I grumbled and turned around. "Don't even try to answer, or I'll fire you!" I said, holding up a finger as I walked away.

I grabbed my toiletries and supplies and went to what was like a small bathroom. It was very small, and I barely fit to stand comfortably, but I managed. I brushed my teeth, combed my hair, put on a little makeup, and got dressed. And when I say "a little," I mean it.

When I finished everything, I came out and saw that everyone else was still in the same spots, watching TV. "Where are we being dropped off?" I asked, sitting down next to them.

"I asked the driver to let us off near the shopping center," Beth answered happily.

"And you all agreed to that?" I looked sadly at the guys.

"I didn't have a choice," Harry shrugged, and Beth lightly hit his arm.

"I need to clear my head," Liam answered, and Louis nodded in agreement.

"And I want to hang out with the crew," Niall replied.

"Can I not go?" I whined.

"No, you can't. You need new clothes and supplies, because yours look old," Beth said.

"Did you rummage through my things?" I frowned.

"No, you're just very messy, and your things are everywhere," she rolled her eyes. I just sighed heavily.

"Um... I don't have any money," I improvised.

"And I, like an idiot, believed you," she snorted.

"Seriously, the money from these concerts went to the musicians and singers. I can't afford to pay right now," I tried to justify myself as best as I could.

"First, you earn millions from your hotels," she snapped her fingers. "Second, the amount you've earned is enough for you to live for at least a year without working. Third, we have the most famous singers in the world who can pay for us."

"I just don't want to go," I fully lay down in the empty space. "Besides, we barely have security guards, and there will be tons of people who want to take pictures with them."

"It'll be fine; they usually clear everyone out of the store when we arrive," Liam interjected.

"You're not helping," I frowned.

"I'm just telling the truth," he excused himself.

"Niall, are you on my side or Beth's?" I asked, because I needed someone to be on my side.

"Um... I don't know, maybe yours," he said, thinking.

"Ha!" I cheered.

"Yeah, and the other six are on mine, so ha!" Beth shot back.

"Oh, come on," I pleaded.

"Lu, going out this one time won't be worse. You'll socialize, shop, and hang out, because people will probably want to take pictures with you too," Gabi also tried to persuade me now.

"Fine, I give up," I raised my hands. "But if anyone else dislikes it or something happens, don't drag me into it, and don't get mad, but I will say: 'I told you so.'"

"It's a deal," she winked at me.

The driver stopped a little further away from the shopping center so we wouldn't be immediately spotted. We walked through the snow, no longer eight, because Jake and Josh had joined us. Matt was elsewhere. We stepped inside and were immediately seen, and young girls started rushing towards our singers.

"Run," I told just our group, and we did. We ran into a store where, just as they said, no one else was allowed in.

End of the Concert

After playing most of the concert, I was utterly exhausted. Sweat was dripping from my forehead, and we still had two songs left. The guys decided to talk to the fans or something, and I took the opportunity to grab a bottle of water and sat down on the floor while the guitar was still hanging around my neck.

"Oh, Luanna, come here, say a word," Harry invited me.

I struggled to take off the guitar and went down to him. "You look exhausted," he said.

"It's a lot harder than it looks," I said, and everyone started laughing. "Seriously, I'm totally worn out."

"What else do you have to say?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Um... Thank you for coming to this concert. Please comment to them on Twitter or wherever you want, telling them not to take me to the shopping center again. It's torture," I said, making them laugh even harder. Finally, I handed him his microphone. "And how can you leave without asking how well I sing?" I laughed and started running and singing one of their songs.

Of course, they started chasing me and eventually tackled and piled on top of me. "It was worth it," I managed to groan while they were pressing me down. Eventually, we stopped messing around and finished the concert completely.

As we were getting ready to leave, we received a call from the driver that he would be a little late because he was stuck in traffic. We sat down on the stage, each in our own place, doing silly things.

"I forgot to tell you," I started, and everyone looked at me. "Tonight we're staying at my hotel, and starting tomorrow, you're free for two weeks until January 5th. Go home and celebrate Christmas and everything."

"Thank you!" everyone shouted, and I just laughed.

"Wait a minute," Beth started. "Who are you celebrating with? You can't spend Christmas alone."

"Seriously, go with one of us," Harry suggested.

"No need, thank you, but I'm fine," I thanked them.

"Because she won't be celebrating them alone," a girl who appeared out of nowhere near the stage said. Everyone turned to look at her.

"Who are you?" Liam was confused.

"She's Ellen, my cousin," I replied, running up to her and hugging her tightly. "I haven't seen you in so long," I whispered into her ear, and she just nodded, but Josh interrupted everyone.

"Great, another Perez!"
