Chapter 19 - chapter nineteen: the account

I didn't move for seconds

It was like the street froze and I was the only one inside it

Even after the call ended, the echo of that memory I mentioned — the lab, the vice president, the external funding — kept rearranging everything in my head

I kept walking, but my steps were automatic

Everything around me looked normal… but it wasn't

People were talking, cars passing, the heart of the city beating…

But inside me, I was sinking slowly

I reached near my house and took out my phone for no real reason… maybe to check the time

As soon as I touched the screen, a strange notification appeared that I had never seen before:

"Your new account has been opened at SecureFuture Finance"

I froze

My breath stopped

I opened the notification

My full name appeared

My date of birth

My national ID

My address

Even my apartment number… 5

Everything recorded perfectly

Without any mistakes

It was as if someone had sat in front of the file of my life and copied it completely

Another notification appeared

"$1500 has been transferred from your bank account"

I stared at the screen

I hadn't moved any money

I didn't sign anything

I didn't open an account

I did nothing

Then a third notification

"Logged in — Location: Unknown"

My fingers started to shake

It was like the phone itself had become a witness to something bigger than me

Before I could even think, the phone rang

One name appeared

Miuco

I answered without hesitation

She spoke in a low voice, as if she had just realized something terrifying:

"Ginso… did you get any notifications?"

I didn't know how to start, so I just said:

"They… opened an account in my name"

She was silent for a few seconds

A heavy silence

Then she said:

"This is directly related to what I told you earlier

The new company… is not just a money storage

It's part of the organization's plan"

A shiver ran down my spine

She continued

"When the bank collapses because of lost trust, people will look for a quick solution

The new company offers a 10% interest?

It's a bait

And when they gather as much money from the people as possible…"

She paused for a second

Her breath got heavier

"They disappear

And all the money disappears with them"

I couldn't respond

I just looked at my account details

Risk Level: S

Traceability: Low

Employment Potential: Under Review

Someone was watching my life from afar

As if I were a project… or a file being prepared

I heard her say:

"Ginso… this type of file only appears to seers

The organization is not just watching you…

They now consider you part of their equation"

I slowly raised my head to the starry sky

"Why me?

What is my connection to all this?"

My voice was too weak to be a question

Her answer came like a heavy wall being dragged behind it

"Because the organization… doesn't choose people randomly

They choose people who can see what others cannot"

I didn't speak

I didn't breathe

Then she said the last sentence…

A sentence that made my heart drop, as if the ground had opened beneath me:

"Ginso…

You are now inside their plan

Whether you want it… or not"

The call ended, and I stood in the middle of the street

Holding my phone between my fingers like a cold piece of strange metal

I didn't know if I was trembling or if the world around me was shaking

I turned to go back home

And the moment I raised my head…

I saw it

A black car

Parked at the end of the street

Quiet

Still

No sound

No movement

It wasn't the first time I had seen it

It passed in front of me on the way to university

Then at the bus station

And I saw it a third time near the store

But back then… I didn't pay any attention

It was just… something passing in the corner of my eye

Like fog you ignore because your mind is busy with something else

But now—

Now I realized the fog… was watching me

The car didn't move

Its lights didn't blink

No one came out

But a strange feeling crept into my chest:

"This… is not a coincidence"

I lowered my gaze quickly

And walked toward the door

Trying not to look back again

But my heart said what I didn't want to hear

The car isn't watching the street…

It's watching you
