Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: The Lazy Samurai, the Parfait, and the Unleashed Yato

I. A World of Absurdities and Amanto

The team emerged from the portal and landed abruptly in a world of total incongruity. The city of Edo (now Tokyo) was filled with futuristic buildings and space vehicles, yet inhabited by samurai warriors carrying swords.

"Environmental analysis: The Ki in this plane is chaotic. Amanto (alien) technology coexists with a stagnant feudal culture. Energy structures are being suppressed. The Anchor..." Kaguya stopped, her mouth agape. "The Anchor is in a place with an incredible density of sugar and an aura of absolute time-wasting."

"Great! A place with lots of food!" Goku laughed, his nose already twitching at a sweet scent.

Tatsumaki floated by, exasperated. "This place is a joke. There's a giant dog eating a van over there."

In fact, a giant, adorable white dog named Sadaharu was currently nibbling on the side of a vending machine.

Megumin, recovered and ready for action, pointed her staff at the machine. "A futuristic box filled with sugary liquids! It looks like a relic destined for Explosion!"

"No!" Erza shouted, immediately re-quipping into light travel armor, ready to move. "Kaguya, the Anchor!"

"It's in that building with the 'Yorozuya' sign," Kaguya said, pointing to a ramshackle apartment above a snack shop. "But it's wrapped in a Ki of absolute laziness."

II. The First Encounter: Gintoki

Before they could approach the building, a sliding door opened and a man with wavy silver hair, wearing a white kimono with blue swirls, stepped out yawning. It was Gintoki Sakata, the leader of the Yorozuya (Odd Jobs). Behind him, a teenager with glasses (Shinpachi) was trying to maintain some semblance of order.

Gintoki looked at them with sleepy eyes, clutching a copy of Jump magazine.

"Hey, I don't know who you guys are, but if you're here for the rent, the boss is out. If you're here for work, we only take jobs involving parfaits or finding lost cats. And if you're those crazies talking about dimensions, Shinpachi handles the crazy stuff."

"I am NOT the one in charge of the crazy stuff!" Shinpachi yelled, adjusting his glasses.

Goku, excited by the Ki emanating from Gintoki (even if it was a concentrated Ki of "laziness"), stepped forward. "Hey! Do you know Instant Transmission? It looks like you're really good at not moving much!"

"Instant? Yeah, I use it to avoid debts and hard work. It's called Chronic Laziness," Gintoki said, lazily lifting his wooden sword, Bokuto Lake Toya. "Now, if you don't leave, I'll have to use my secret technique: the Death Stroke by Sugar Drip."

Tatsumaki, insulted by the low threat level, used her powers to levitate Gintoki ten centimeters off the ground.

"Get down here, you lazy samurai! You're in our way!"

Gintoki hung in the air, confused but completely unfazed. "Whoa! What a cool Quirk! Can you also bring me a giant parfait without me lifting a finger? Now that would be true heroism!"

III. The Yato Clash and Kagura's Admiration

While Gintoki was distracted by his levitation, a girl in a red Chinese dress with a purple umbrella lunged at Goku. It was Kagura, the powerful Amanto of the Yato Clan. Her Ki, though wild and focused on brute force, was surprisingly high compared to most inhabitants of this world.

"You! Orange skin! You're very strong!" Kagura shouted, striking Goku with her umbrella. The umbrella, made of advanced materials, hit Goku with the force of a freight train.

Goku barely wobbled, smiling. "Wow! You're really strong! You remind me of my granddaughter! What a fun hit!"

Kagura froze, her usually expressionless face filling with wonder. No one—no one—withstood a direct hit from a Yato.

"Fun? You... you're a combat monster! You're not like the weak Amanto! Your Ki is simple, but it's like a mountain!" Kagura exclaimed, stowing her umbrella.

While Kagura was distracted by Goku's overwhelming and simple strength, Kaguya found the Anchor. It was hidden inside a box for a Super Ultra Mega Giga Parfait that Gintoki had stashed under his desk.

"Anchor located! The Ki of laziness and sugar was masking it!" Kaguya shouted.

Megumin couldn't contain herself. She pointed her staff at the Anchor. "An Anchor that smells of strawberries and lazy Ki! An affront to magic! A purifying Explosion is required!"

Erza stopped her, knocking the staff aside with her own sword. "Control your Mana, Megumin! You'll cause a collapse in the parfait economy!"

Kagura, ignoring the chaos, approached Goku with shining eyes.

"Hey, strong man! I'm Kagura! I'm a Yato! I'm strong, I'm bored, and I need a lot of food! I like your noisy team! I'm coming with you! We'll be like a new family that punches things!"

"Great! A strong new friend!" Goku laughed, happy for the chance of a new sparring partner on the road.

"Kagura, you can't just leave with these lunatics! We're the Yorozuya! We have work to do!" Shinpachi screamed, while Gintoki continued to float, asking for a parfait.

"Shut up, four-eyes! I'm going to a dimension with better action!" Kagura said.

IV. A New Member and an Escape

Kaguya secured the Anchor, and the Dimensional Ki energy ignited, opening a swirling portal right above the Yorozuya office.

Erza sighed, picking up Megumin, who was practically in tears over the missed Explosion. "We have a new member. Let's go."

Goku placed two fingers on his forehead. Kagura, thrilled, grabbed Goku's arm with surprising strength.

"See ya, Gintoki! Keep being lazy!" Goku shouted, laughing.

The team, now with one more member, vanished just as Gintoki, released from Tatsumaki's levitation, landed on the floor.

Gintoki scratched his head, then realized his parfait box was gone.

"My parfait! Those dimension-hoppers stole my parfait! Kagura, get back here! That parfait is worth more than your life!" Gintoki yelled, bracing himself for a chase he knew he wouldn't actually start.

Shinpachi sighed. "They're gone. And they took Kagura. And your dessert."

"Doesn't matter. Rent is still more urgent," Gintoki muttered, turning back to his magazine.
