After eleven years of training, the temple feels different—
silent, breathless, as if the air itself is waiting.
Cain stands before Ravana, now towering but faintly dim, as if the god's light is slowly burning out.
Ravana lifts one massive hand.
"Cain… kneel.
This is the moment your path diverges from all beings of this world."
Cain kneels.
Ravana places two colossal fingers lightly on Cain's head.
And the entire temple trembles.
The Seal of a Thousand Echoes
A crimson sigil blazes beneath Cain—
a giant circular pattern of spiraling runes and ringing symbols.
They rotate in layers like a clock made of blood and time.
This is the Seal of Lanka—
the key to Ravana's soul domain.
Ravana speaks:
"Lanka… the island of echoes.
My greatest creation.
My greatest sacrifice.
My greatest burden."
The symbols rise into the air like burning petals.
One by one they spiral around Cain's body.
The air shakes.
The ground shatters into dust.
Cain's vision warps—
Ravana Opens His Soul
His chest splits—not physically, but metaphysically—
unveiling a vast, glowing chasm where a heart should be.
Inside it, Cain sees:
an island surrounded by black waters
a sky without stars
temples floating upside-down
steps that lead to nowhere
golden palaces echoing with invisible screams
and 1,000 chambers, each filled with flickering lights—
thoughts, memories, possibilities, futures.
This is the Soul Domain Lanka.
But Ravana cannot enter it.
Not anymore.
Ravana's voice deepens, shaking reality itself:
"I sealed this away to gain the Eyes of Wisdom.
To see fate…
I sacrificed the right to ever touch my own soul again."
The Transfer
The island of Lanka begins to sink—
dissolving into golden rivers of soul-light.
Those rivers flow from Ravana's chest
and pour directly into Cain's forehead.
Cain screams—
not from pain, but from overwhelming knowledge.
Tens of thousands of voices whisper inside him:
"Remember me."
"Become me."
"Surpass me."
"Echo my will."
Ravana's hand tightens very gently on Cain's skull.
"Steady your mind.
If you lose yourself, the domain will consume you.
Lanka tests those who enter."
Cain forces himself to breathe, to focus, to endure the pressure of a god's soul merging with his own.
The island fully sinks into him—
a flash of light bursts outward—
And the temple returns to silence.
The Aftermath
Cain opens his eyes.
His irises now have faint golden lines—
like cracks where light leaks out.
Ravana removes his hand.
He looks weaker.
Smaller.
Half-transparent.
The transfer has cost him.
"It is done.
The Lanka of Thousand Echoes…
is yours now."
Cain cannot speak.
His voice shakes.
"Master… why me?"
The god smiles truly for the first time in centuries.
A slow, heavy, smile.
"Because you are the only being in existence who can wield my soul without being bound by fate.
Because the domain needs a free mind.
Because the world needs a savior…
and I cannot be that savior."
But you said it'll take 100 years why are you going so early?!!
"Child… back then I didn't know your true potential."
And now that you have inherited everything,
There's nothing i have left to give you.
From here on, you must grow on your own.
"Master…."
Cain was truly aggrieved seeing his master whom he had spent his 11 years disappearing.
"You just gave me your soul domain so why are you disappearing?!"
"Long ago, I had made a pact:
To gain the Eyes of Wisdom (the ability to see fate)
he sacrificed his right to project his soul's realm into reality.**
If Ravana ever used his domain again:
His wisdom collapses
His fate-vision shatters
He becomes blind to destiny
His pact breaks
And he would be dragged back to the eternal war in the Upper Realm
Thus:
He can only pass the domain on—never use it himself. And once passed on to someone he'll cease to exist.
Cain inherits what Ravana cannot touch.
And Cain, being fate-less,
can wield this domain without violating the cosmic pact.
Soul Domain: Lanka of thousand echoes
Ability 1: Echo Reflection
Every technique used against the user is recorded and can be replayed back at the attacker at 2x power.
Ability 2: Echo Paralysis
The opponent hears thousands of overlapping versions of their own thoughts—
creating confusion, fear, hesitation.
Ability 3: Judgment of the Echoes
The Thousand Echoes judge the enemy's soul.
Depending on what the Echoes perceive:
Weak souls are crushed immediately
Strong souls are bound, slowed, or confused
Evil souls trigger harsher echoes
Fate-bound beings suffer destabilization
The domain is uniquely effective against those bound to fate,
because the echoes disrupt fate's threads.
Cain, being fate-less, is immune.
[Other abilities– locked]
Since cain is still in the myth rank and Soul Domain becomes available only after God rank.
Cain must pay a price each time he expands it.
Examples:
soul fatigue
temporary loss of hearing
mental disorientation
backlash from failed echo control
temporary blindnes
emotional echoes overwhelming him
The longer he uses it the heavier the punishment is
It will gradually fade as he ranks up and reaches godhood
In my last moments i have things to explain to you which you might not know.
"But master youre–"
Let me speak
Ravana spoke firmly—
"Once a being reaches God Peak, they can ascend.
Once they reach Titan… they are forced to ascend.
Because the Upper Realm has a law:
"Those with power above gods must join the Eternal War."
This war started centuries ago, when a tear beyond reality opened and monsters from outside existence poured in.
This battlefield is where:
Titans fight
Primordials clash
Eternals bleed
Concepts die
Stars explode under fists
Time loops
It is a war without end—
A war that holds the boundary between worlds together.
The strongest beings of every pantheon and lineage are dragged there.
You don't ascend for glory.
You ascend because you're needed.
Because without constant resistance, the "Beyond" would swallow every world.
This is why Ravana left.
Cain was shocked because the novel at that time was still incomplete and this topic was something that never came up in the novel
"I once stood at the peak of Eternal rank.
But I saw a future—shown by Chronos—
a future where:
the Eternal War collapses
the Beyond swallows the other side
the Lower World (Cain's world) is erased
all bloodlines die
humanity falls
and everything ends
And destiny said:
There was no saving this world.
No choice.
No hope.
No deviation.
But fate only applies to those born inside the world.
So Ravana made an unthinkable choice:
He split his Eternal power into multiple fragments,
reducing himself down to God Peak rank,
so he could descend without being forcibly summoned back to the Upper Realm.
But the fragmentation had consequences:
He lost memories
He forgot the location of his other power pieces
He weakened his wisdom
And the fate vision became blurred
Still, one purpose remained carved into his remaining soul:
To find a being outside fate.
A variable.
A savior.
Someone who could break the doomed future."
I still dont know why you are not bound by fates thread but i know one thing for sure..
you are this world's only hope.
Immune to the Upper Realm's summoning rule,
capable of breaking fate's predictions,
free from the world's laws
unseen by the powers who watch over gods.
You are the absolute anomaly.
The perfect vessel for my lost power.
And the only one who can alter the doomed future.
With that Ravana's body completely disappeared
