Chapter 5 - No, I've Been Turned into the Minotaur's Shape!

Chapter 5.

"He, he knows how to use a weapon!!"

Witnessing Eugene accurately throw the short sword, the remaining people's back hairs stood on end!

The Minotaur is an LV.2 monster that usually appears on the 15th floor.

According to the Guild's records, when they get a weapon, they at most swing it haphazardly.

But the throw from Eugene was incredibly accurate.

Furthermore, his actions were ruthless and decisive, completely inconsistent with the monster's rough appearance.

"No, this guy is different from a regular Minotaur!"

Someone with sharp eyes noticed the anomaly.

Because Eugene was a forcibly de-leveled monster, he was a head shorter than a typical Minotaur, and his fur color was lighter.

Also, Minotaurs are completely naked and don't have the horn.

This one is wearing an apron!

"Is it a new subspecies?"

"Could it be an Enhanced Species?"

ROAR !!

Before they could conclude, the rampaging Young Dragon had completely freed itself from the ice. Its legs were covered with frostbite marks, but this did not slow its movements; rather, it further ignited the beast's ferocity!

A sweep of its giant tail immediately sent another unlucky soul flying, tumbling in the dust while screaming.

The leader was killed by a headshot; one person was run through the back; one person had his leg broken by the Young Dragon's throw and couldn't move; and there was the guy who was knocked unconscious by the tail sweep.

Now, only three people were still standing.

Facing the giant beast so close, their legs were shaking uncontrollably!

Can they escape?

They couldn't escape even when they were completely unharmed!

Then, fight?

The only Magic Sword capable of fighting the Young Dragon had also been stolen!

The remaining adventurers were filled with despair, caught in an awkward predicament.

And Eugene, watching all this, was calmly walking towards them.

That unprecedented bull's face, holding a sinister smile, seemed so jarring to them.

According to the Uncanny Valley Effect, the closer a replica is to human, the stronger the feeling of dread becomes, such as with "spirit dolls" or "goat-headed men."

Now, that intense, unknown fear was eroding them from the inside out.

They couldn't even move their feet!

"Ahhh, you damned bastard!!"

Finally, someone couldn't take it anymore, his expression collapsing, and he pointed his long sword at Eugene.

"I'll fight you to the death!"

He screamed frantically, seemingly seeing the Young Dragon and Eugene as being in collusion.

However, screaming louder does not increase one's strength.

What greeted this brave soul was the Young Dragon's merciless bite!

CRUNCH!

The bloody maw bit down mid-air!

With just one bite, his entire arm was ripped off, and blood spurted out!

The massive wound instantly caused him to go into shock and pass out.

Only two people left.

Their faces were paper-white, and their eyes were hollow.

After a brief and powerless resistance, the scene became eerily quiet.

The Young Dragon also closed its blood-stained mouth, looking down at the two statue-like humans.

It seemed surprised by the prey that had suddenly lost the will to fight.

In the distance, Eugene's steps remained steady.

The smile on his face didn't change.

In his brilliant golden eyes, a look of profound mockery flowed.

When Ajin was beaten and pleaded pathetically.

Did these guys also look on with derision and without a shred of pity, just like he was doing now?

The answer is definitely yes.

After all, this world, whether in the heavens or on the ground, its essence is the law of the jungle.

ROAR !!

Balance is always short-lived.

With the Young Dragon's roar, the farce soon came to an end.

The white grassland was strewn with dismembered limbs.

Spotted with blood.

Eugene looked at the Young Dragon roaring up at the sky, his eyes flickering. He ultimately decided not to engage.

Truthfully, at his current level, it would still be difficult to completely wipe out that small team.

Since he borrowed the dragon's strength, he should quit while he was ahead.

"I hope we never meet again."

Watching the giant lizard's figure move away, Eugene began to clean up the battlefield.

He first walked over to the headless corpse of the bearded man.

As the leader, this guy's stats should be the highest.

"Plunder!"

The mist of the dark night swiftly covered the corpse. After it was withdrawn, only a pile of dust remained.

[Ding! You have completed the Plunder]

[Obtained Target's Most Outstanding Attribute - Agility +575!]

[Obtained Target's Strongest Skill - Backstab, attack from behind the target, Damage +30%]

[Obtained Target's Most Proficient Ability - Short Sword Specialization F]

[Obtained All Target's Drops - Steel Short Sword, Steel Long Sword, Damaged Plate Armor, Thick Leather Armor, Sharp Razor, Anesthetic, Used Stamina Potion...]

"Not bad, actually D-rank in an attribute." Eugene slightly sighed, looking at his drastically increased stats.

For an adventurer to level up, they need to complete two conditions.

First, at least one basic ability stat must reach D-rank, which is above 500 points.

Second, they need to complete an outstanding achievement called a "Feat."

This includes things like defeating a monster of a higher level, clearing a major dungeon floor, or deeds that can be acknowledged even by the gods.

This bearded man had been running around in the Dungeon for years. If he had successfully defeated the Young Dragon today, he would likely have leveled up.

However, with Eugene here, that "if" vanished.

"These things aren't really useful to me, though..."

Looking at the various miscellaneous items stored in the system space.

He was too big to wear things like the leather and plate armor.

[You can perform a Deep Plunder on the items you have plundered]

The system's prompt rang out just in time, lifting Eugene's spirits.

It can do that? Playing so creatively?

He pulled out the bearded man's long sword. The sword had been used for many years and had countless hidden flaws.

"Plunder!"

The evil magic instantly enveloped the long sword, rapidly circulating and transforming inside it.

[You have completed the Deep Plunder]

[The item acknowledges you as its master and automatically adjusts to the state most suitable for your current attributes]

The magic receded, and what appeared in Eugene's hands was a sword that had grown three inches longer, with sharp edges and excellent balance a true treasure sword!

"Holy cow!"

Eugene felt the noticeably increased weight in his hand and swung it twice, finding it incredibly comfortable to wield.

His expression was exceptionally complex.

"Does this count as corruption?"

"It's completely been turned into my shape, hasn't it!"
