Chapter 71 - Chapter 71: Terry: Don't Come Near Me!

Eugene casually put away Dix's spear and his headless body, choosing not to use the Plunder skill in front of Ryuu.

He had to consider the feelings of this champion of justice; the act of eating people would be left for later, in private.

As for the miscellaneous thugs, Eugene chose to spare their lives.

First, digging them all out to deal with them was too troublesome.

Second, he was afraid it would expand his appetite.

(Afraid of breaking the power balance; please be understanding).

Once he became addicted to eating people, he couldn't imagine what he would turn into.

"Let's go."

Eugene smiled warmly, pulling Ryuu back from her frozen state into reality.

He walked towards Terry, who had nowhere to run, his steps light and easy.

"We can settle our accounts now, Mr. Terry?"

"You, don't come near me!"

Terry let out a wail similar to that of Bu Jingyun, but he was also internally injured at this point and utterly helpless, unable even to run away.

Eugene skipped over to Terry and grabbed him by the collar.

"It's eighteen hundred million in total. If it's one valis short, I'll take your life."

"Oh, and this contract."

Eugene flung a piece of parchment. It was inscribed with various pre-drafted clauses.

Things like freeing Terry's harem, transferring casino management rights, and the ownership of various fixed assets...

Terry merely glanced at it and felt his blood pressure surge, a chill running from his feet to his head.

The summary of this document could be condensed into one phrase—stripped bare.

All of his years of hard work in Orario, just given to Eugene for free?

Who could accept that?

"Ah, my bad, a head fell off."

Eugene twitched his hand, and Dix's head rolled across the floor, nearly scaring Terry to death.

He looked at the once arrogant plague god, now just this small weight, and felt his soul drain away.

"I'll sign, I'll sign!!"

The parchment was specially made, stamped with a magical contract.

As long as Terry signed it, pressed his blood seal, and silently consented in his heart, it would become effective.

Because there were many secret dealings in this city, while this method had loopholes, it was still widely accepted.

After all, in an alternate world, there weren't so many perfect rules.

"Excellent, excellent," Eugene satisfiedly collected the scroll, then started dragging Terry towards the underground.

"Hey, hey! Where are you going!" Terry shouted.

"To get the money. Your vault is down there, right? The sooner we get it, the sooner we can relax."

!! He even knew that!

Terry felt utterly defeated. He had been completely cornered by his opponent.

From beginning to end, everything was within Eugene's calculations.

Like a puppet, he was dragged by Eugene, step by step, deeper into the casino's basement.

Ryuu, meanwhile, followed behind full of curiosity.

After descending several floors, the group finally reached the very bottom of the entire building.

At the end of the corridor, a vault door that looked incredibly formidable appeared in their line of sight.

"It's all in there..." Terry said pitifully. "Only I can open it. I'll go get it for you..."

"No need!"

Eugene pushed him aside and walked towards the vault door on his own.

He pressed his hand against the extremely heavy door, gently stroking it.

It was made of a large amount of super-hard metal, costing at least two or three hundred million.

Unfortunately, Terry didn't know that many of these metals were substandard.

The deeper the Dungeon, the better the minerals produced, but this vault, despite its top price, used rather inferior materials.

In the original story, Ryuu blew the door open with a single spell.

But even so, it was still money!

Melt it down and separate the good from the bad, and it would be fine, right?

Whoosh!

A fierce spatial fluctuation appeared in front of him. Eugene held his breath.

In just a few breaths, the entire vault was collected into his system space!

Only a massive void remained in its place, with soil and stone constantly falling as the support was lost!

!!!!??

Terry's jaw dropped in astonishment.

What kind of maneuver was that!?

Phew... Good thing I leveled up fast enough to get a double reward, and the system space capacity was also doubled.

Otherwise, after loading the Black Goliath, there truly wouldn't have been enough room for such a huge vault!

Eugene revealed a satisfied smile.

He then turned around and, pretending to be sincere, extended his hand to Terry: "This cooperation was very pleasant!"

"I look forward to another opportunity to work together!"

Terry's mouth twitched; he felt like killing this guy.

But he couldn't show it, only managed to force a smile and go along with it.

"Thank you for cleaning up the aftermath."

"You know what to do, right?"

Eugene's voice was soft, like the whisper of a devil.

Terry swallowed, nodding repeatedly.

"It was all the fault of that deceased Dix!"

"He kidnapped me and tried to harm my respected friend, but he was easily defeated by your bodyguard, whereupon he abandoned his comrades and fled in disgrace!"

"Haha, excellent, excellent!" Eugene was astonished by this guy's quick thinking and burst into hearty laughter.

Dix had disappeared, so everything could be blamed on him.

This was the best possible outcome.

However, Eugene didn't believe Terry would honestly report this version to his superiors.

He would inevitably embellish the story, portraying Eugene as a murderer, a robber, and fabricating all sorts of other crimes.

Given Terry's status, Orario's high-level officials would definitely not dismiss this lightly.

But that was only for "Terry Carvantes."

Once he lost all his wealth, was collectively accused by over twenty abducted women in his harem, and finally faced a flood of anonymous tip-offs.

"Ted" who was still Terry, would finally be exposed.

At that point, who would believe the words of a great deceiver who had been impersonating someone else and acting tyrannical for years?

Eugene gave Ted, who was still Terry, a meaningful smile.

Then he pulled Ryuu along and departed with ease.

"Let go!" Ryuu's heart was racing as Eugene held her arm.

"I was afraid you couldn't resist going back to kill him." Eugene used the opportunity to pull her closer.

They exited through the casino's back door, making no attempt to conceal themselves.

In the crowd, intense discussions were erupting.

"The last person who went in seemed to be a blond, dark-skinned man!"

"The Elf guy next to him was super handsome!"

"You didn't include the 'handsome' prefix for the man; I'm not entirely satisfied." The blond, fair-skinned Eugene complained with a click of his tongue.

"Stop messing around," Ryuu, who had taken off her suit and removed her facial disguise, returning to her clear feminine appearance, laughed and scolded him.

They stood together, watching the former splendor fall into ruin.

...

Elsewhere.

A secluded dock.

"Hey, hey, is that all?"

Lunoire, with one hand gripping the man who was much taller and stronger than herself, and her foot on the black-haired Cat Person.

Her brow furrowed. She had intended to use a new batch of magic.

But these two imposters were truly too weak; combined, they weren't enough to challenge her.

"What the heck!"

The fake Black Cat and Black Fist exchanged glances, their expressions filled with disbelief.

Who would have thought that the two big shots who ruled the underground world were actually girls!

They had given their all, yet couldn't even tear the opponents' coats!

Blade tools merely grazed them, leaving no mark.

How were they supposed to fight this?!

"Are you unconvinced?"

Lunoire sneered, "You didn't really think you two pieces of trash could beat me if I wasn't wearing armor, did you?"

She proudly puffed out her chest: "I still have one magic spell I haven't used yet!"

Hearing this, the two became even more desperate.

They were Terry's top combat forces and had always executed Terry's orders smoothly and successfully.

It was only today they realized that there are always people stronger than you.

The two experts who usually acted like thugs were beaten like dogs and were now half-dead!

"Alright!" Chloe's shout came from the other side.

She had dealt with the dozens of thugs on the dock using only her clones.

She had watched the entire show from a cargo box.

Lunoire didn't waste words. Following Eugene's instructions, she delivered two solid punches, sending the two men into a small dark room.

The two girls then commanded the group of bruised thugs to transport the cargo ship, which was meant to sail to a foreign land, to the location designated by Eugene.

There, Lena and Lili had already organized personnel and were waiting to meet up with the others.

"I can't wait!"

The two girls looked at each other, confirming each other's feelings.

They were eagerly anticipating.

They just wanted to rush to Eugene's side as quickly as possible.
