Chapter 96 - History Repeats Itself

Aaron pulled Felicia, and the two instantly arrived in the lounge.

"Come up yourself."

Aaron sat down first, gesturing for Felicia to begin.

The latter looked as if she had expected it. There was nothing she could do. After all, she was just a little female secretary.

If the boss had needs, she naturally had to try her best to satisfy them.

Satisfy in all senses...

Then, Felicia felt a very peculiar sensation.

Five times the sensitivity, shared senses!

Wait, something was wrong, stop the action!

Felicia's mind flashed back to the tragic scene of that day.

Three seconds...

"Felicia."

"I... I'm sorry! I'm too pathetic!"

Felicia wanted to find a hole to crawl into.

While apologizing with her head down, she felt a little hot, so she casually hung her 'jacket' on the 'hanger', relaxed her body, and embraced nature.

Aaron nodded. This was what an apology should entail.

"I wasn't ready. Now we can start the formal work."

After Felicia got into the zone, she seriously explained Osborn Industries' latest work arrangements. She was trying to distract herself.

Aaron didn't expose her.

"Hiss... Boss, during your absence, there were nine espionage incidents in the Corporation, including one Mutant infiltration, but they were discovered and expelled immediately upon entry."

"The other eight were all arrested and have been taken over by the FBI..."

Aaron interrupted her with a slight squeeze.

Felicia took a deep breath. "Boss, do you have any instructions?"

"Are you sure it's the FBI and not S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

Felicia shook her head. "Doesn't feel like it."

Aaron snorted.

How could he let them off without an explanation for daring to invade his territory?

After thinking for a moment, he dialed Barbara's private number.

"Hello, this is Adeline. If you need to contact me about tutoring, I'm sorry, I no longer need the work."

As soon as Aaron heard this, he immediately knew that Barbara had someone else with her, and it was definitely someone from S.H.I.E.L.D.

"I have eight children here who need a teacher's guidance." Aaron said.

Barbara was about to reply when Felicia accidentally stumbled and cried out, "Ah!"

Then there was another smack, as she sat on the ground, hurting herself.

Red and with five stripes.

Barbara's heart skipped a beat, she glanced at her phone and hung up.

She subconsciously picked up a glass of water and drank it to cool down.

Across from her, Fury's expression was strange as he glanced at the water dispenser nearby.

"I didn't know you had a habit of drinking plain boiled water?"

I don't, but that monster does.

Barbara's expression was calm as she said, "Aaron likes to drink plain boiled water, and I have to cater to his preferences, including the indoor temperature, the size of the door, and even sounds and actions."

Fury frowned upon hearing this. "These rich people... Each one is stranger than the last."

He didn't continue to suspect, after all, as an agent, the cost and effort required to approach a target are far beyond what outsiders can imagine.

Sometimes, if the target has some strange quirks, one can only grit their teeth and continue.

The difficulties involved are not for outsiders to know.

"It's your first time doing this kind of mission, and you've already thought of so much. You truly are the most outstanding student from the last batch." Fury nodded in praise.

Agents also need emotional validation. A Director must occasionally pay attention to the state of his subordinates to better accomplish missions.

"It's all thanks to Director's good teaching. Oh, right, I need to request some assistance, which might help me with my upcoming work."

Seeing this, Barbara immediately made her request.

"Need people?"

Upon hearing this, Fury immediately became interested.

"I need the list of those eight people."

"Given Aaron's personality, he definitely wouldn't tolerate outsiders invading his territory."

"If I can use this as a ticket..."

Fury fell into hesitation.

"This matter is very troublesome."

"Aaron, he..."

"Someone will give it to you shortly."

Hearing the name Aaron, Fury agreed without a second thought.

Evidence suggests that during the incident in New Mexico, Aaron went to the mythical Asgard with the legendary Gods.

These past few days, S.H.I.E.L.D. has been racking its brains trying to figure out the identities of those people.

Concerning aliens and legendary Gods, no amount of importance is too much.

As for the entities behind those individuals... compared to these matters, what are they?

He wouldn't clean up after those idiots.

Just as Fury had given the orders, a call came in.

Fury immediately became serious. "There's news confirming that Aaron has returned to Osborn."

Upon hearing this, Barbara knew her chance had come and immediately said, "I'll contact him now regarding Kate's studies."

Fury nodded. "Barbara, you are the hope of S.H.I.E.L.D. From now on, it's all up to you."

"Take him down as quickly as possible and gain his complete trust."

Barbara nodded, but inwardly, she was dismissive.

Take him down? How could she take down the other party? With a broken doll?

Her entire body had been consumed, and her body and mind had instead been taken down by the other party.

I'm a disgrace to the Agent World.

Barbara saw Fury off and immediately eagerly contacted Aaron.

Before long, she drove towards Osborn Industries.

Not just S.H.I.E.L.D., the entire world was in turmoil due to Aaron's return.

But strangely, even though everyone knew what Aaron was about to do, after Aaron's return, they all ceased all activities by unspoken agreement.

Including major arrangements like state visits.

The entire Earth became uncommonly quiet.

Then, several celebrity scandals suddenly emerged.

Everyone was eagerly feasting on the gossip.

At this peculiar moment, Aaron received the information from S.H.I.E.L.D.

He didn't open it immediately but looked at Barbara, who was wearing a white Barbie doll princess dress.

Not bad, it really had a certain charm.

Before Aaron could speak, Barbara glanced at Felicia, who was resting from excessive training, gave her a provocative glare, and biting her lip, said tearfully, "I'm sorry, Master. I hung up your call just now. Please administer the punishment."

Barbara took out a whip from behind her.

Felicia's eyes widened.

Aaron looked on in surprise. 'Woman, you really know how to play.'

"Please don't be merciful, punish Barbara harshly. Barbara will work hard in the future and will never disappoint Master's expectations."

What could Aaron do? Of course, he had to satisfy his woman's M-tendency hobby.

Just treat it as dessert before the main course.

On this day, the sky was dark and gloomy.

Finally, at night.

Aaron had time to review the information provided by S.H.I.E.L.D.

"Sokovia mercenaries."

"Councilman Rudolp's private detective."

"Ten Rings' members."

"Peripheral members of an unknown underground gang."

"..."

"And assassins from an unknown organization?"

Looking at the list in his hand, Aaron smiled.

Assassins, and from an unknown organization.

Isn't that clearly saying S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Or rather, Hydra.

Anyway, in the Marvel Universe, if you can't find the culprit, pinning the blame on Hydra is always correct. Even if they didn't act directly, they definitely provided indirect assistance.

With S.H.I.E.L.D.'s capabilities, is it really that difficult to confirm identities?

Aaron didn't care about all that.

Since you haven't figured it out, don't blame me for implicating others.

Aaron knew that this list certainly had more than just this one issue.

For example, who instructed the underground gang members?

Sokovia is a small country, where would such bold mercenaries come from?

Councilman Rudolp...

Aaron immediately searched online.

He was just a newly appointed Councilman. Was he crazy to dare to cause trouble for Aaron?

Didn't he see those Military bigwigs and U.S. high-ranking officials endorsing Osborn? Was he perhaps out of his mind?

He was probably pushed out by certain people to be cannon fodder.

"Heh, they all think I'm an idiot."

As Aaron was thinking, he suddenly sensed something.

He looked up at the sky, his gaze narrowing slightly.

"So, you've finally arrived."
