Ana's POV
A while later, the luxury vehicle came to a halt in front of the Doran Racing Club's imposing entrance.
Julio and I climbed out, the thunderous sound of high-performance engines already filling the air around us.
"A buddy of mine owns this place," Julio said, gesturing toward the sprawling complex. "There's what you might call a 'friendly competition' going down today."
"What sort of friendly competition?" I asked.
"In plain terms? They're here to take over the club," Julio replied, stuffing his hands deep into his pockets. "Winner takes all—the entire establishment."
My eyes went wide. "The whole club is at stake?"
This was way more than some casual race between friends.
The challengers had to be bitter rivals of the current owners.
Julio gave a grim nod.
