Chapter 10 - Chapter 10 Breaking Point Reached

Ana's POV

I looked up to see Irvin Watson, the Watson family's eldest son, settling into his chair. His black outfit made him look imposing as always, those piercing eyes catching the light while a slight smirk played at his mouth. When his gaze landed on me, his expression soured. "What's she doing here?"

I bit my tongue and said nothing.

Irvin's dislike for me wasn't news—he'd made it clear since we were kids.

Aileen immediately latched onto his arm with practiced ease. "It's Dad's birthday, silly. Where else would she be?" She batted her lashes. "I got hungry and couldn't wait. You're not upset with me, are you?"

The usually cold Irvin actually chuckled, tapping her nose affectionately. Watching their natural sibling bond made my chest tighten. There was a time when I'd looked up to him desperately.

He'd been a prodigy from the start—building his own empire, dragging the Watson name to new heights. But no matter how I tried to impress him, he stayed ice-cold toward me.
