Ana's POV
Eloise promised the recording would wrap soon, but I ended up waiting much longer.
Evening shadows stretched across the lot as the dying sun painted everything in melancholy hues.
After waiting for a while, I considered leaving.
But watching Eloise work so hard, remembering my commitment to her, I couldn't bring myself to bail.
So I waited much longer.
When Eloise finally finished, she found me perched by the flower bed, sketching in my notebook—though I wasn't sure what I was drawing anymore.
She hurried over, looking genuinely sorry. "God, I'm so sorry for making you wait. The director threw in this last-minute mini-game that completely screwed up our timeline."
I forced a gentle smile. "No worries. It wasn't that long."
Complete lie, but I was the one asking for favors here. Time to swallow my pride.
Eloise led me and her assistant to this gorgeous seaside rooftop place.
The restaurant screamed money—everything in Marcel with these prices did.
