Chapter 300 - Chapter 300 The Inheritance Trap

Ana's POV

Irvin's voice crackled through the phone.

I narrowed my eyes slightly.

Something Grandma left for me? The only thing Grandma ever gave me was that necklace, and Aileen destroyed it. What else could possibly be there?

I wasn't falling for this trap. "I'm done with the Watson family—you can do whatever you want with Grandma's stuff. None of my business anymore."

Irvin's voice turned sharper, more desperate.

"Ana, you know Grandma loved you best, right? We were cleaning out the old storage room and found her journal—she wrote that she'd saved something special just for you. So if you still care about Grandma at all, get to the villa tomorrow afternoon. If you don't want it, I'll burn the whole thing. It's nothing but bad luck for the rest of us anyway."

He didn't wait for my answer before ending the call.

I placed my phone down, Irvin's words spinning in my head.

His voice wouldn't stop replaying, no matter how much I tried to push it away.
