Ana's POV
Aileen stood there in casual loungewear, makeup-free, looking like she owned the place.
I narrowed my eyes at her. "What are you doing here?"
She clutched a glass of milk, smiling sweetly at me. "Brought you breakfast. Ridley rushed off to work without feeding you. Can't have you starving."
She extended the milk toward me. I didn't move, just stared her down with ice-cold contempt.
Suddenly, Aileen's face lit up with fake surprise as she yanked her hand back.
"Oops, my bad. You're allergic to milk, right? Guess you'll stay hungry then."
Her sneer turned vicious as she hurled the glass straight at me.
Still groggy, I couldn't dodge fast enough. Milk splashed across my body.
The glass exploded against the floor, sharp pieces scattering everywhere. One shard sliced into my bare leg, drawing blood.
I doubled over, gripping my calf as pain shot through me. The sickeningly sweet smell hit my nose—honey.
