The premium office tower in Downtown Marcel had been humming with energy since sunrise.

The subway line heading downtown was always crammed during weekday morning rush hour.

But today felt different—way more intense. At Central Station, queues snaked around every entrance and exit, with packed subway cars sporting lines at each door. People pressed together, barely managing to squeeze aboard.

Commuters muttered complaints and cursed quietly. The Metro Transit Department rushed to deploy additional trains, sending out a fresh one every few minutes just to manage the flow.

When the trains finally pulled into Central Station, crowds poured out like disturbed hornets, buzzing and shoving through the exits.

All those frustrated morning commuters carried their built-up irritation, and the moment they hit the exit, it erupted—everyone was on edge, tension crackling in the air.
