Chapter 13 - I hate her

".... He will wake up, come on, get away."

"I told you I want to meet the Ninth."

"Get out, all of you, come on, leave me alone with Delta, even you, Tiffany."

"Me? Why?! What did I do?!"

"Just get out."

"Yes, Lusihar is right. Please get out, O Revered Tiffany."

"Okay, okay."

Farid opened his eyes and quickly retreated in fear. Delta spoke:

"Don't worry, you are in one piece. We are good people. Look..

[A group of red hearts flew from her head]

... hhh, is this the Farid I know? Farid who used to break into abandoned houses at night looking for Jinn to read Shams al-Ma'arif, challenging them to appear."

Farid spoke nervously:

" Shams al-Ma'arif is a trivial book that says the Earth is the center of the universe, so how could its talismans be correct... "

"Yes, this is the Farid I know."

The bedroom was dark blue, the ceiling decorated with a map of the sky. To his left were windows with Gothic patterns and midnight-blue curtains, something that looked like a telescope, and two lamps on the sides resembling a skull wearing a hat, powered by gas. Lusihar looked sideways at Delta and spoke, returning her focus to Farid:

"Don't worry, Master, that corpse will be taken away. It was a diplomatic issue, and those failures put it in a refrigerator with the food so recklessly.. Don't worry, I am your loyal maid, Master, I will take care of their punishment."

"I heard you talking about a girl named Tiffany "

"Did someone call my name?"

"Damn it."

Miral said:

"Master, don't worry, she is an ally."

"Who... me? When did you guarantee I was an ally? Haha... The Ninth, you have woken up."

Lusihar said:

"Why are you making it suspicious?!"

Farid felt tense. Tiffany advanced towards him and extended her hand to shake his. Farid extended his hand hesitantly.

"This moment needs a picture.. How are you, O Ninth?"

"F... Fine."

"Why did you run away from me, Master? I am not harmful.. They were going to detain me because of the snitch Lusihar..

[She looked at Lusihar sideways; Lusihar exchanged a look of wonder with her]

But now everything is fine. I just came to take that corpse."

"Are you a grave digger?"

"No, rather I will do.."

Lusihar covered Tiffany's mouth and pushed her out.

"Take her and get out."

"Okay, okay, you hate me.

[Fake crying]

And this is not fair. The Ninth is not yours alone. I also must partici-|"

Lusihar pushed her until she went out and closed the door.

Tiffany opened the door again and came back inside.

Lusihar's anger flared, and she screamed at her:

"Don't you understand the situation..!!? Come on, get out, you are not welcome here."

"Okay [sad face]"

Tiffany went out, barely holding her laughter, until the sound of her bursting into laughter was heard outside.

Lusihar sat next to Delta, and it seemed they had become friends. Lusihar put her head between her hands, saying:

"I am disgusted by her, yet she continues to raise my blood pressure.

[The maid Miral patted her back]

Stay away from me, you are also one of the reasons for this problem."

Farid spoke:

"I am fine. I am just not used to seeing corpses in real life. I was drawn into the illusion of the beauty of this world, and the appearance of that corpse was a surprise to me."

"I am sorry for my unprofessional behavior and for raising my voice in your presence... You are not the reason, Master. I hate shit-any . Just seeing her arouses my disgust."

"Please, leave, and let only Delta stay."

"Sorry, but I won't allow that, Master, for my feeling is not reassured about her yet."

"How long was I unconscious?"

"About 10 hours."

"Oh, how many hours are in a day here?"

"It is only 36 hours."

Delta replied nervously:

"Rather, 360 Earth hours. It is 15 damn days by Earth standards."

"Huh?!

You are joking, right?!"

"The days are hell here because of their length."

Lusihar said:

"You will get used to it."

"360 hours, this is madness. I won't endure two weeks while being in the middle of a single day."

"Look at me, Master. I am 653 years old, and a year has 1440 days. Imagine how I view these days that you see as long."

"I don't... my mind can't handle all these numbers."

Delta replied:

"You will get used to it. Didn't you say at some point earlier that time flies on Earth?"

"Yes, but... this is hellishly slow. Hey wait, what age can humans reach here?!"

Lusihar replied:

"There are those we call Prototypes; these live up to 200 years. And Tritotypes; these reach 300 years. And there are the Hectotypes whose telomerase length doesn't decrease, and thus they are theoretically immortal like me. I am immortal."

"What about me?"

"Well, you are a new update carrying the spiritual number 9. We don't know your characteristics, but 99% you are immortal like the Hectotypes, otherwise you wouldn't be considered an update at all in my opinion."

"Haha... It seems you two have become friends."

Lusihar replied:

"If we have an understanding, things will pass smoothly. That is all there is to it."

"Ah, I remembered. Farid, take your medicine."

Lusihar said:

"Medicine?"

"Ugh, Sahin didn't die, and we are suppressing him."

"Do you think I didn't notice? Before you encrypted his aura, I examined him since we were in the carriage, and I know he is a Transmigrator of the Fourth Type with internal voices accompanied by hallucinations from the body's owner... I am always one step ahead of you, Vanilla.

[Delta looked at her, and Lusihar continued]

Do you think I am an idiot like you? You aren't good at doing anything.

[Delta stood up and grabbed Lusihar by her clothes]

My simple words provoke you. Literally, if you don't take things seriously and act more intelligently, you will be eaten alive. Even you, creatures of the First Extinction, do not compare to the malice of humans, especially you. For from your behavior, it appears you were living in isolation, not mixing with humans, until you started thinking we are fools."

Delta let her go.

"Lusihar."

"Yes, Master."

"It seems like you know a lot about Planet Earth."

"A wonderful observation, Master, for you are not the only Transmigrator. Many doctors have written about the details of your world. In the past, we were more advanced than now, but one of the effects of the Second Extinction is that it polluted some sciences with cognitive hazards. And originally, we, as the Sixth Update, without a deeper understanding of the universe and its physical, biological, ontological, and other laws, would be like the Third Update, whose programming resembles the hacks animals have, and we wouldn't be able to formulate our own algorithms regulating the hacking of nature's laws."

"Wow, I feel curious to learn this hacking of nature."

"You, Master Ninth, likely possess a new system other than the programming of the Sixth Update and the processors of the Third Update."

"And what is this system, Lusihar?"

"There are several theories like Nodal Consumption and Surreal, but I think tests are what will determine its nature. Don't worry, the tests are not harmful, Master .."

"By the way, Farid, the night is coming. Don't keep wandering around the house alone."

"Why? Is the palace haunted or something? Haha."

Delta said:

"The city of Madelina is next to a place called the Crimson Forest, some of whose influence reaches here. Newcomers like you fall into several dangers, things like the call of the void, shadow creatures, the extra door. For example, you might be afflicted with intrusive thoughts and suddenly decide to carry a knife and kill yourself."

"Let me inform you of the rules, Master:

* There are no old people in the palace. If you see an old person, ignore him even if he speaks to you. And if you hear your name, that is a hallucination; just ignore it.

* Do not wander in the palace alone, for shadow creatures inhabiting this place might attack you, or an extra door might appear provoking you to open and enter it, and it will lead you to the Crimson Forest, which is a very dangerous place. At night, being in the middle of a radioactive minefield is a billion times better than the Crimson Forest.

* If you see a room that is strangely dark or darkness is coming out of it, that is black light. Do not try to enter it. Any means of lighting will not work, and usually, inside it is something only you will see and only you will be attacked by. Therefore, pay attention to details.

* If a strange idea comes to you from nowhere, declare it.

* Do not go down below the ground surface, for at night we lock those places.

Don't worry, I will be with you all night long. After three nights, these phenomena will disappear, and you will have memorized the shape of the palace, so you won't be deceived by the extra door, and all these nocturnal hallucinations will disappear. And you, Vanilla, change your uncomfortable form."

Delta transformed into Narila's form again, saying:

"Of course, you won't sleep all night, but you will sleep only one hour, which is the average sleep here. And there isn't much left for the night... Don't worry, as long as you are with someone, you won't be exposed to these phenomena in the first place."
