Tom's POV
"What a hell of a day," I muttered under my breath, still reeling from everything that had unfolded just minutes earlier.
Despite the chaos, the day hadn't been entirely terrible. Especially during my time at the office, where Delia, even in her pregnant state, continued to know exactly how to please me.
I collapsed onto the bed, eyes fixed on the ceiling above. For the first time in what seemed like forever, I allowed my thoughts to wander back to the beginning of it all.
College. That's where I first encountered Delia.
She wasn't the brightest student in our lectures, nor was she known for her compassion around campus. But Christ, she was absolutely stunning. The moment I laid eyes on her, it felt like the entire atmosphere around her had shifted.
Her movement was pure poetry - elegant, intentional, every stride calculated as if she understood precisely the impact she had on every person who watched her pass by. And she absolutely did understand.
