Camilla's POV
"Where on earth did you get something like that?" I questioned, watching as Elsie clutched an enormous chocolate bar that dwarfed her tiny hands. The thing looked more like a candy store display than something meant for actual consumption. Chocolate was already smeared across her cheek as she took another enthusiastic bite.
Gerald's shoulders lifted in a casual shrug, his arms crossing over his broad chest while that infuriating boyish smirk played across his lips. "Here's something you probably don't know about me - I have a serious weakness for chocolate. Been obsessed with it since childhood, and apparently I never grew out of it. I keep one of these monsters on me wherever I go."
I stared at him, searching his face for any sign he was pulling my leg. But his expression remained completely earnest, as if hauling around industrial-sized candy bars was perfectly normal adult behavior.
