In the forest surrounding the Villa, Alex had deployed troops to search for Angi. For Alex, even if it took a night, a year, or two years, he had to find him at all costs.
They really searched all night, in every corner. They even used large hunting dogs, but without success. Alex was furious; he even insulted his men, calling them useless and worthless.
His men could only remain silent, apologize, and continue searching for Madam Angi.
Alex was in his car, reviewing footage from the cameras to find a lead. His heart was racing, he was sweating heavily, fearing that something might have happened to Angi.
But why was he so worried about Angi?
While watching the videos, he saw the moment Angi left on his bicycle—but after that, nothing.
He hadn't installed cameras further into the forest, because Sohan had told him not to. Now he regretted it, which fueled his anger even more. Seeing his veins bulge, he punched the steering wheel, causing the car to honk loudly in the forest. Alex jumped out to continue the search on foot.
He walked toward one of his men and snatched the lamp from his hand. The guard, surprised, tried to calm him, but Alex, struck him hard in the stomach. The guard spat blood and collapsed, sobbing in pain.
The other guards weren't surprised; they just thought the injured man was a rookie who dared to talk back to the chief.
Alex ventured alone into the dark forest, leaving the guard on the ground. But two other guards came to fetch him; he was surely going to be fired.
After five hours of fruitless searching, Alex decided to use radical search methods. He returned to the villa to make a phone call.
Do you know who he was calling?
He was calling to request forty helicopters to help search for Angi. He didn't care at all about the colossal sum of money he would have to spend.
Then, a sudden sense of emptiness washed over him. He began to question what he was doing and why he was doing it. That's when his eyes fell on the contract Angi had told him to make. He picked up the documents, looked at them, smiled slightly, and left, closing the office door behind him.
A little further to the right, Angi was completely unconscious among a thicket of trees covered with underbrush. Many guards passed by, but no one saw him—either it was too dark, or they thought the thicket was too small for anyone to enter. They were wrong.
Minutes passed, and the helicopters arrived. Following Alex's ridiculous orders, they began searching for this so-called Angi until dawn.
