Chapter 1 - Raven's Arrival

A young man, appearing to be in his early twenties, was clad in a squad uniform. The uniform, primarily black with a white stripe running down the side, bore the official logo badge of his team, the "MDF (Malaya Defense Force)," prominently displayed on his left chest.

He moved through the hallway, his steps taking him past a few officers who recognized him, as he proceeded toward the Command Room to report for duty. He paused just before the door and took a steadying breath.

Sighing softly, he murmured, "Raven, you can do it... nothing will go wrong, will it?"

A faint smile touched his lips as he finished the thought, and then he pushed the door open and stepped into the Command Room. He immediately halted. Every officer, including the Vice Commander, was looking at him with a grave and knowing intensity—they were clearly aware of the news.

One of the officers, who had been seated at the round table, rose. He was a slightly burly man, built not from excess but from muscle and strength. His expression was neutral, yet edged with seriousness, as he addressed Raven.

He asked: "Raven, would you care to explain what is happening during your patrol around the Johor Bahru district?"

Raven gave a nervous chuckle, his fingers stroking the back of his head. He hesitated, clearly grappling with how to deliver the truth. Taking a deep, deliberate breath, he finally began his explanation.

"Well, Vice Commander Reno... I'm not exactly sure where to start... but first, please try not to be upset. I was perhaps a little too enthusiastic about flying the Raptor #1. It was my first solo flight in that particular jet."

He offered a brief, strained grin as he explained, quickly continuing before anyone could interrupt. "And... I have a report concerning the sudden appearance of a monster while I was on patrol over the Johor Bahru district."

A palpable shock settled over the room. Every officer present exchanged stunned glances upon hearing the news of a monster's unexpected emergence in their bustling, populous city.

Vice Commander Reno didn't waste a second. He leaned in, his gaze boring into Raven, the atmosphere electric with tension.

"Officer Raven, forget the fancy talk," he snapped, his voice low and sharp. "I need the details on this thing that popped up in Johor Bahru. Every single detail you remember, Raven. Lay it all out now!"

Raven nodded sharply and hurried to the main control console. Quickly accessing the flight data, he connected the Raptor #1 footage to the command room's central monitor.

The screen immediately flared to life, showing a chaotic scene: A gigantic monster emerged from the earth, the ground violently crumbling and tearing apart as it dug its way out.

The creature was immense, estimated to be sixty meters tall, possessing a chunky, densely muscled build. It moved utilizing four powerful limbs, much like a massive crocodile or alligator. Its head resembled that of a crocodile, but with an exaggerated, expanded lower jaw. A long, serpentine tongue continuously flickered out, resembling that of a python.

The other officers watched in stunned silence, their jaws slightly dropped. They had never witnessed a creature of this scale. One of them, Officer Zhen, finally broke the silence.

"Damn it! How is this possible?" Zhen exclaimed, his voice tight with frustration. "We've only budgeted and trained to defend against thirty-meter threats! Not something... this big!"

He grunted, his unease palpable upon realizing the massive shift in the threat level.

The footage continued. The Raptor #1, piloted by Raven, swooped in and unleashed its plasma cannon, firing a sustained burst directly at the monster. The forceful action was sufficient; the creature recoiled, turning its immense body to crawl back into the gaping hole it had created, vanishing beneath the earth.

From the round table, a female officer named Evelyn rose, her posture signaling both respect and urgent concern. She let out a soft, almost imperceptible sigh, a prelude to a difficult question.

"Vice Commander Reno," she began, her tone meticulously polite but laden with careful apprehension. "If I may ask... why are we seeing a monster of that specific classification now? What could possibly account for its sudden appearance?"

Vice Commander Reno immediately shifted his sharp attention to her. He paused, his expression hardening slightly.

"Well," he responded, his voice authoritative, "I currently possess no definitive answer as to how or why that thing materialized. But our immediate priority is clear: we must initiate a deep, detailed reconnaissance and search operation. That is the critical first step before we make any move to neutralize the threat."

Before Vice Commander Reno could elaborate on his directive, a shrill, urgent warning alarm abruptly pierced the air, echoing across the command room and placing the entire squad on high alert.

Simultaneously, the main monitor instantly shifted to display a live news feed: a second threat had emerged. This monster materialized off the East Coast, far from the main landmass of Malaysia where the MDF was headquartered.

A grave atmosphere settled over the officers; they watched the footage with renewed shock and dread.

The creature was identified as a gigantic, flying beast, akin to a massive pterodactyl. Its body, though somewhat chunky, supported a head similar to that of the ancient reptile. It proceeded to unfurl its massive wings, preparing to take flight toward an unknown destination

Vice Commander Reno pivoted sharply to face the assembled officers—Raven, Zhen, and Evelyn among them. The dual threat demanded immediate, decisive action.

"Listen up, MDF!" Reno commanded, his voice now a whipcrack of authority. "Raven, you will take the Raptor #1 and establish a comprehensive patrol perimeter around the Johor Bahru district. You will be shadowed and supported by Officer Zhen, Officer Evelyn, and Lieutenant Dos in Raptor #2."

He then shifted his attention to Officer Kaito, who was stationed behind the main computer console.

"Kaito! I need you to immediately analyze the flying beast's movement patterns and track its precise location."

Kaito nodded once, his response sharp and instantaneous: "Yes, Vice Commander Reno!" His hands blurred over the main computer keyboard, already initiating the complex analytical programs to trace the new threat.

Reno turned back to the four tasked officers, his gaze firm. "Very well, MDF! Embark!"

The four officers answered as one, a synchronized affirmation: "Yes, Vice Commander Reno!" They immediately dismissed themselves, rushing toward the Weapon Systems Hall to board the awaiting Raptor #1 and Raptor #2.
