Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

The Unheard Heiress: Reborn as his little jewel

Chapter 3;- Liora

After a few hours of calming down, images of unfamiliar memories flashed through my mind. I am surprised that the memories of this body will come to me.

This body belonged to a girl named Liora. She's the heiress of Venzel corporation and also the wife of Theron Venzel, who is the heir of the company. She turned twenty-five last month. She's aggressive and hot-headed.

Her father is the president of the Taylor Group which only gained more recognition when she married into the Venzel family. Her mother loves her, but she loves her sister the most. It was her sister who was supposed to marry Theron, but Liora was thrown in instead, and she married him for fame and more money.

The woman earlier is her mother and she went home to get her sister, Winona Taylor.

The next day-

Leah came to the hospital with Winona. Unlike Liora, Winona is more cheerful…at least that's what she portrays for everyone to see. She hates Liora to the bones but I don't have the time to deal with her right now.

"Mom…I want to attend the funeral service of Isolde" I said immediately she came in.

I wanted to have one last look at my body...the body that had been mine for twenty-four years. I should be there to bid farewell to my body.

And also, I want to have a clear look at how that family will react to my death.

Will they cry and act all sorrowful like they actually loved me when I was still there? That question bubbled in my curious mind.

I want to look at their faces for the last time before I start my plan, I prefer a slow burn instead of a sudden attack. I want them to pass through nine hells, make their nightmares a hellhole, and let them die in their own nightmares.

"Won't you wait for your husband? He might also want to attend" Leah asked me as she peeled the apples for me

From what I remembered from Liora's memories, her husband doesn't love her so why should she interfere?

"He's on a business trip, Mom. Don't you remember?" Winona replied from the angle where she's seated.

I looked at her and she glared at me, almost stabbing a dagger right through my heart. I snickered and looked away

The driver from the Venzel family brought me down here to the church where the funeral is being held. I arrived at the church in my floor-length black gown, and everyone turned to look at me. I could sense the edginess on their faces.

My face held zero expression as I stared directly at the church entrance…my heart was racing crazily before I got here but it had calmed a little bit when I got here.

I turned to the driver who handed me a bouquet of Dandelions and my purse. The sky is dark and gloomy and the atmosphere is chilly, complementing the grief in the air.

My heels clicked against the hard floor as I took one step after another into the church, I was almost at the entrance when a sleek black Mercedes suddenly pulled up like a phantom.

The car came to a smooth stop just beside my car. I was taken aback as I stared at the car, I couldn't hide my curiosity as I looked. The back door soon opened and a pair of glossy, high-end leather shoes stepped out of the car, followed by a tall man clad in a black suit and a striking mask.

It was as if our dresses were made in the same company. He's also holding a bouquet of black roses and I scoffed, "Who the hell brings black flowers to a funeral?" I muttered to myself

Even without seeing his face, I could feel the power and grace rolling off him. I could feel a sense of familiarity, but maybe the familiarity belongs to Liora…she's in the high caliber anyway. But this isn't your ordinary average guy…the aura surrounding him is imposing and commanding.

The masked man turned towards me and looked at me for a few seconds before talking, his voice was clear and cold. "Don't you dare think of causing trouble here, Liora. You might end up being her partner six feet under."

His deep voice carried a hint of American refinement, but what really came through was the chill. It was like I was dragged into a world of freezing abyss. I could feel the cold sweat run down my spine as I looked directly into his empty blue eyes

"Do I know you?" I asked. I saw the brief movement of his eyebrow, followed by a cold and dark chuckle. "Disobey me- and I promise you're gonna follow her into that grave." He said humorlessly.

"Isolde doesn't like roses. She's allergic to them, but she loved dandelions because they're her mother's favorite flower. If you have some respect for the dead, then at least do the things she likes on her last day. I brought these flowers because she loves them…I'm not here to cause any trouble or to ruin her funeral" I rushed my words as I stared back at him, tears glistening in my eyes. I tried to hold them back but I failed, I failed woefully.

There's nothing in this world that is more ironic than my situation right now…I'm alive but I'm attending my own funeral, burying my own body while I'm in another's body

The man stopped for a minute, and he looked at me for some minutes before heading inside without any words

I stood outside for some minutes to gather my mind and control my emotions before proceeding into the church.

I sat down in the middle of the people in the church as I stared at my coffin…an empty feeling settled in my heart, and I just felt it at the moment…

"This is the moment…the moment I become Liora and not Isolde anymore"
