From beneath every segment protruded a pair of thick, stubby, round legs, helping it crawl and climb.

This caterpillar's weight likely exceeded two hundred pounds.

Its skin was a vivid, almost bluish green, patterned with irregular black-and-white spots that made it look bizarre and unnatural.
