Chapter 103 - Chapter 103- Bad grass

Albert, riding on his back, nearly tumbled off.

Luckily, Hayes reacted in time. He shot out a claw and snatched the young man out of midair, pulling him straight into his arms, terrified that anything might happen to Albert again.

Albert stared in shock. "What the hell is this—"

Before he could finish, a vast patch of glossy green creatures suddenly sprang up from the low vegetation directly above their heads.

Their stalks were straight and long, as if they had been lying in wait in the darkness for ages, patiently awaiting prey to take the bait.

Within seconds, a large cluster of vigorously "blooming flowers" was brazenly displayed before their eyes, completing the transformation from tightly closed buds to full blossom in the blink of an eye.

Only these "flowers" were nothing like delicate ornamental blooms. They were a mass of carnivorous plants, mouths gaping wide, practically screaming to be fed, each stretching its bloodthirsty jaws to their absolute limit.
