Jefferson hadn't intended to say such harsh words to his beloved woman. However, he was forced to speak to her to make her aware of this and prevent it from happening again. He hoped Carabella wouldn't follow Larissa's orders like a slave. He wanted her to grow into a mature woman who could distinguish between what to obey and what not to obey.
Larissa was also surprised to hear Jefferson suddenly speak harshly. She hadn't expected a man who seemed wise to her to be so rude. She was very satisfied to see Jefferson so openly lose control of his anger. Now she wouldn't have to worry about further straining Jefferson and Carabella's relationship.
"Jefferson, why did you talk to Carabella like that?" she asked softly, suddenly acting nice to appear like a good person in Carabella's eyes.
"I really don't like a woman who keeps following orders."
